    Default Barbarian Sorcerer gameplay

Hello, I recently made a barbarian sorcerer, an odd combo, but I thought I could make it work. The stats I started out with are
    16 str
    16 dex
    12 con
    10 int
    8 wis
    16 cha

I wanted to aim for a higher sorcerer level and more of a caster roll. Atm I am lv 3. 1 barbarian 2 sorcerer, the feats I took were toughness at level 1 for barb and maximize spell at the end. I play with a mithril chain shirt and a greatsword usually. Tell me if you think this is a good idea or what should i do with it? Thanks yall...and gear?

Sorc/Barb and you did not think to go WF?

Besides the obvious problems of that combo, going WF gives you lots of advantages, mainly self healing and no exhaustion penalty after rages, plus, WF are awesome.

the combination is odd and i think it will not work.
    Your stat are totally wrong.
16 dex? for what? you don't wanna go TWF.
12 con? you are a dead weight.

16 CHA, 14-16 CON, rest in STR. But really I can't see how a barbarian can work with a sorcerer. A better mix could be sorc/paladin

Is it a warforged? If yes that explains the 16 cha.
If no, You really want to drop your str and dex little and pick up to 18 cha and bump your con up with whatever points remain (16ish)

The barb splash in a caster lowers your caster level by 1, and increases the level at which you get key spells (Haste/Firewall). In exchange you get 10% movement speed.

So either go all the way to 19 sorc/1 barb or reroll back into 20 sorc because the capstone isnt half bad... if you want to melee with a self repairing caster I'd suggest going 12 sorc/6 paladin/2 monk...you can probably find the build somewhere on this forum.

You want more Sorcerer, so may be Sorc 15/ Barb 5. Looking for AC (Spell Shield!), the Two Handed feat line for melee, Force of Personality for Will saves, you also will be a nice nuker, and can be an excellent buffer for the party. Very handy in all situations. Take useful enhancements from Barb: toughness, sprint boost, etc., and go to town. Your stats nice, 12 con will be balanced by Barb levels, i would put Strength 14 and Int 14 for skills, but thats my flavor. Get max ranks of Listen, Balance, Bluff, and some of Jump (You have the spell!).

The biggest bang-for-your-buck would be one level of Barbarian (for martial proficiencies, toughness AP, movements speed, speed boost, and basic Rage) - you should take 2 rogue for evasion and skills, though.

That leaves you with 17 levels - you could switch to Wizard if you wanted to get level 9 spells - and the fact that WF don't get a negative to Int makes it even sweeter.

I remember choosing Sorceror back when I started DDO because I thought DDO was going to use D&D spell slots, and I figured it would be more fun to just cast whatever spell I wanted. As it turns out, the extra spell points and faster casting doesn't outweigh the benefits of multiclassing wizards (IMHO).

a good question to start with would be, what is the point of the barbarian level?

if we know what it is you want we can tell you what kind of character will give you that.

The barbarian level was because I wanted to melee, and then I took more levels of sorcerer because I wanted to be able to use level 2 spells. Lol, but I don't use that character anymore, I made a pure warforged sorcerer and now I am level 9 almsot 10 with him. xD
