Default Review of TWF Dps ~U5~

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The reasoning for this thread is to review TWF Dps with all the new U5 changes.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Yes I got this idea from Gfunk's Thread.

    Disclaimer
I am not the "Dps King" I have an above average knowledge of Dps calculations. This thread is not for me to "attempt" to become the next c-force/gfunk. Yet to help people get a general knowledge of the Dps of previous builds/new builds with U5. There will always be flaws. And I will always take responses/critiques and fix what needs to be fixed. That being said I hope this thread can serve as a "guide" to the new U5 Dps.

This Thread will cover relative Dps output with U5 Changes via the new U5 calc.
-This Thread for all intents and purposes is not to show people which build is best or which build is worse but to show the capability of certain builds

-This Thread also includes q-staffs, as those have been effected by U5

    -Read Me
-All builds attack speeds are implenemented into calculations.
Ex. A level 20 Fighter gets 4, 25% haste boost Now that is not automatic how ever I felt it necessary to put in, because most if not all players who want Dps, Max out haste boost if they have it
All other builds who did not have some form of haste boost were given a 1 time haste of 15% (spell)

    Big thanks to these website
    Green Steel weapon base damagehttp://ddowiki.com/page/Green_Steel_Weapons

All builds Dps was figured that each build could hit on a 2

-I hope this Thread is helpful and does not "bash" anyone's builds or interests.

-This thread is also designed to give a new insight on the nerf U5 has brought to us

-All Calculations will include:+3 str tome.bloodstone, madstone,Minerall II (tier III), Tharnes Goggles, and Power Attack.
    -All builds are 18 starting strength,Dex,or Cha/ +5 levels
-All builds have 1 haste(spell) and if said build has enhancement for "x" amount it was implemented.
-Buffs include Song, +9, and prayer +1.
    -Halfling SA was implented

    - Dps Chart 1 reviews relative twf Dps of pure or 18/2 builds.
    - Dps Chart 2 reviews relative twf Dps of Known builds, ex: Monster,Ravager, etc
    - Dps Chart 3 revies relative twf Dps of Known builds to the max. Using epic gear,+4 tomes, and every possible buff.
    - Thanks to consumer for the numbers

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Dps Chart 2 will include calculations of what build can achieve. I.E will use power surge if capable, will use rams might if capable, will include smites/exalted smites.
Will use +4 tomes, MIN II weapons (tier III) titans grip,rage,madstone,+6item,+5 level ups, +3 exceptional (tod)

Will add in more builds later using the above (consumers) calculations.

    About Dps
    Ranger splashes:
Many of the builds only have 2 favored enemies (lvl 6 ranger tempest multiclasses), which means they have to be quiet careful about which FE's they pick. The 6 ranger splash is very popular amongst builders as it is the largest incremental damage added for 6 levels of any class. Proponents of the 6rgr splash typically claim that the FE's they choose account for most of the opponents found at end game or that they can just change out their FE feat when running different content. Detractors of the builds claim that 2 FE's is too narrow of a range. Popular FE's include Evil outsider, Elemental, Construct, Giant, and Undead.

    Fighter splashes:
A large portion of fighter DPS comes from weapon specilization (up to +8 for a kensai with their chosen weapon).

    Rogue splashes:
Most rogue damage comes via backstabbing and sneak attack.(for example 50% fort means that both 50% of critical hits and 50% of sneak attack are avoided).
There will be a new graph showing rogue's dps against various kinds of Forts/Dr's

    Barbarians:
Many people have been a bit upset with the ranking of barbarians in the above chart. It pays to remember that very little of their dps is situation specific (except loss of frenzy crit damage vs. crit immune mobs). Barbarians are more melee generalists which means they don't have to specialize to fight a specific mob. (i.e. they use all weapons, and fight all types of mobs equally well). Compare this to a kensai fighter (1 weapon type only) ranger (fe's) rogue (sneak attack) or paladin (evil outsiders, undead).

    Paladins:
A large portion of paladins dps comes from the new enhancements when fighting evil outsiders (knight of the chalice) or undead (hunter of the dead). Smites may also contribute significantly, depending on the duration of the fight. Palidans require alot more "clicking" then the other core melee classes, and may be difficult to manage when trying to fit in some effects like "madstone".

if you see any problems please post your questions/concern! Any builds that want to be tested/put into this thread please comment below and I will take a look. Thanks!

    I really appreciate this thread...

It is nice breaking it down with identical buffs.

I started reading your first post but quickly hit a sticking point. How is it that (on DPS chart 1) a cleric 18 / monk 2 can have 183.26 dps with gtwf, but somehow when he only has the lesser itwf his dps increases to 214.48? Perhaps you inadvertently switched the itwf and gtwf numbers?

Chart 2 with actually maxed numbers:

    Fighter - 563
    Egomaniac - 540
    Blizt (khop) - 586
    Blizt (Pick) - 535
    18/2 Ran/Fig - 489
    Pure Rog - 669
    Tasmanian - 638
    Barb 18/2 - 556
    Fighter epic SoS - 573

WF gear - epic helm of the red dragon, redscale docent, FB set, Shintao set, madstone, epic bloodstone, lit II
Squishy gear - epic helm of the red dragon, epic marilith chain, FB set, shintao set, LotD, lit II

Calc time set to each builds advantage, Over a set 5 minutes haste boosts will run out and DPS will drop, this will effect the Ranger the most, followed by the Barb, Tasmanian devil, Rogue, egomaniac, Blizt and finally the Fighter will be least affected.

Obviously anything that uses rages has problems with titans grip, this being more of a test for potential than actual numbers I ignored that.

Somehow these number's don't add up.

Improved Two Weapon Fighting for a Quarterstaff build?

The ranger's have the same info listed but different DPS.

The 20 Ranger vs the Exploiter, loosing 2 damage per hit for favored enemy but gaining 1d6+3 results in a 73 DPS drop?

could you post the attack speeds, or at least where you're getting the numbers from? That's where I seem to have the most trouble is finding out just how much haste, boosts, tempest, capstones, etc add to each fighting style.

    1d8 + 21 (str bonus at max dps) + 4 Weapon Spec + 1 unarmed spec + 8 WF powerattack + 5 from weapon,+8 tharnes = ~51,5 damage per hit

31 (sneakattack damage) + 7 damage (Holy on handwraps) + 3.5 damage (Pure Good on handwraps) + 3.5 damage (Icy Burst on handwraps) + 7 damage (Holy Burst on the ring) + 3.5 damage (Acid burst on the ring) =55.5 damage
16 (Touch of death) lowered to 8 if reverted to single proc only = 63.5( took single proc only ) 63.5+63.5=127+51.5=178.5 on average each hit. Add in a 15% percent haste boost ( haste spell)/crits

You can add 3.5 more damage if you have a +5 holy of greater <insert enemy> bane.

isn't it easier and less error prone adding ToD damage as additional dps? like:

    %proc*dmg/cooldown = 1.8*500/15 = 60 dps (~33 dps for single proc)

it looks to me rather convoluted calculating the dmg per hit contribution of ToD. especially considering haste does not increase ToD rate assuming that Ki is not a constraint.

Edit: comparing with mine your numbers don't work out. 63.5 dmg per strike on average from ToD looks way off. consider that the maximum possible would be 1000/15 = ~66 dps if you get always double proc and you get almost that value in only one strike.
