Log in server down?

For the past 2 hours I have been getting the red x and an update error occurred: A connection attempt failed.
Something wrong with my DDO game or are the servers down or something?

Yeah, got the same problem.

Was in Vale about to start quest and got lagged and kicked out. Now can't get back in.

This is ridiculous and still NO comment from Turbine.

Mine was a easy fix. I did went through all their trouble shooting and found out that IE has to be work online. For some reason when my computer went to sleep it shut it off. I don't even use IE, I use Firefox but alas this is XP running so it does weird stuff like that. Try opening your IE browser ad get to a random page and make sure its not work offline. Then start up DDO and see if that helps.
