    WF have immunities, more damage, more hp, and higher combat dcs.


    TWF: WF Power Attack gives +3 main hand and +3 off hand vs +2 main hand and +1 off hand... hmm which one is better?

    THF: WF Power attack is doubled so +6 vs +3.

    Seems pretty cut and dry which is more dps.


    The healing penalty isn't enough to keep people from making WF now and it won't be once we have Half Orcs either. Everyone will make one once they're released simply because it's new and shiny, the same for Drow, Monks, Favored Soul, and anything else that's released in the future.

    Now half-orcs. The PnP stats should be fine, even with +2 Str from enhancements. the benifit WF and Dwarves get from the extra con and Toughness enhancements should more than balance the extra Str. And the axe enhancements for dwarves could even out the bonus.

    I don't see half-orcs getting many weapon enhancements except maybe the falchion. I would like to see them get some enhancement to enhance Barbarian and Druid abilities, though we obviously aren't going to see the Druid ones at launch. But all in all, I'd like to see enhancements that reward brute force over finesse.

    Seriously noone can say what will or won't be as far as dps and such.

    Unless you have some privileged info none of us have.

    No announcements have been made so how can we compare. We can assume what they will get but can't compare anything as actual facts.

    Turbine has a great history of implementing powerful things... realizing that they are over-powered, then nerfing them. This really ****es off the player base. For the sake of avoiding angering a few thousand players, I hope Turbine is aware and more conscious as how to balance the game before they implement half-orc.

    So Monks and Drow were overpowered when they were released?

    Yes.

    Drow: Only 32pt build when they were released. if you were a cleric, paladin, bard, ranger, sorc, or wizard... and were not a drow: you were gimped. Fixed by releasing 32pt builds (after some time)... now they are on the bottom tier in terms of over-all best races)

    Monk: Suddenly all AC tanks were no good. Monk had them all beat by far. Monk became the Must-have splash for pre-PrE AC tanks.... the stances got tweaked.. and pre-DR breaking handwraps/void strike, monks were on the bottom tier for dps.

    So, yes - Monks and Drow were over-powered... then got nerfed.

    Here is a list of things implemented into ddo. Their original implementation was great. Then the dev's declared they were too powerful, and got whacked with a nerf bat.

    1. Epic Sword of Shadows
    2. Weighted Weapons
    3. Wounding of Puncturing
    4. Two Weapon Fighting
    5. Radiant Servant
    6. Haste Speed
    7. Madstone Rage
    8. Minos Legens
    9. Transmuting
    10. Holy Smite (used to stun)
    11. Cloudkill / WoF Tactics
    12. Barbarian Crit Range
    13. AoE scrolls in stores
    14. Greensteel Rez clicky


    Make sure half-orcs are balanced. I don't want them on this list.
