I'm not debating about DDO. I'm saying that I could have LOVED Darkfall, on paper that could have been the PERFECT mmorpg. PvE and PvP, full loot, guild wars, land control, no class, no levels, only skills, a skill level cap to make specialized characters. But in the end it became a great quake arena

Ultimate would be combinate both of these elements in 1 game questing in level of ddo and pvp like darkfall, as for now i just keep asking these questions to myself, why grind better items->to cap toon and then what? lvl my toon to 20-> then what, the game doesent have any purpose to cap toons, as u dont have any purpose to cap.
Instead there will be a feeling of "why do these capped jerks keep greening me instead of challenging themselves and fighting people with equal gear and character advancement.

So to beat the capped toon boredom, you propose an ePeen waving contest that is 1 part skill and 9 parts general chat banter.

Pfeh, if you really don't want to pay anything, I'd suggest checking out:

Now THAT's one hell of a game *and* it's true to Tolkien! It's not demanding at all for your system, so you don't need a state of the art computer to run it! The levelcap is 100 too, but I doubt any of you newbies will ever get there .

It wasn't f2p but I always thought that Dark Age of Camelot got it right with pvp and pve blended in the same game. There were opportunities to grief people doing pve but they were limited and if you got attacked while you were pve'ing it was because you chose to pve in a place that wasn't 100% safe.

If I really enjoyed pvp I don't think I would have ever left. As it was DAoC was the only game that ever got me interested in pvp as it wasn't just hit one button, they die. There was tactical considerations, coordination, and then nice skirmishes...or if you had someone with good crowd control abilities hit one button and the other group dies.

I may check instead mortal online, but 1 thing is true nobody have no idea why to lvl toon to cap and thats fact...please dont pull meet friends card i got msn and can talk with friends there, its not improving game.
And what are you going to do in this PVP game thats any different? It gets just as borning as grinding out epics, trust me. Yeah the thrill of competing against other players is great when you first start playing, but it gets old just as quick when you are fighting other players on the same battlegrounds, same case scenarios, same moves, with the same best 5 or 6 combination of skill tree builds in the game.

Well i bet its giving me ton more fun to fight guild v guild battles than lvl my toon to 20 and log out it permanently.
And tip of the day its more challenging and giving to win human than some dork bugfilled AI

Second as i play timezone est 1am to 2pm there isnt nothing to do but run with stupid hirelings and i die with them to boredom.

Darkfall uses griefing as a core gameplay concept. Probably interesting to people looking for that, but heck no for me.

PvP never bothered me. What always bugged in any other game was when I went into a zone and a group of geniuses thought it would be fun to kill off all the NPC's. I just wanna turn in a quest, buy stuff, fast travel and instead I have to put up with the junior high bandits being annoying.

If you've mastered DDO on your way to level 20, and can't find a challenge running with hirelings, you might want to look into soloing raids.

Post them in the Achievements forum as you complete them. When you've gotten them all, do them on Hard/Elite/Epic (as available).

Yeap, people think PVP is fun and games until their corpse / spawn point is camped. Getting killed repeatedly for the next three hours is alot more boring than running epics or having alt-itis in a PVE focused game.

Well I tried Mortal Online... biggest disappointment of all time. In the first 2 hours of play... bugs - constantly crashing, lots of wide open empty space, combat is minimal (more laughable), pickpocketing is ludicrous, crafting painful to contemplate. I've played freebies better than this.

DDO is far superior to Mortal Online, and reviews said MO was better than Darkfall... that really doesn't bear thinking about.

tried darkfail quite while back during beta and shortly after if that had been my first game it would have likely been my last that game is pretty much all the worst of what mmo's can be.

Darkfall have one major problem. There's no cap on skill points so in a time (they are already there), they're going to have servers full of supermen who can do anything.

I would suggest Mortal Online instead, same priciples, better engine and hard cap on primary skill points.

But otherwise I agree, nothing better then good PvP (although I'm glad Turbine are not focused on PvP, because DDO is not PvP-able game).
the early players exploited the hell out of some bugs and now noone canever be their equal
