Thumbs up Normal Crafting... Heres How!

Ok I know this has been mentioned on "being in the works" for quite some time, and its time we get this completed. The ability to craft regular items should have honestly come before Shroud crafting, and would allow players to make exactly the items they need and eliminate the need to "hoard" random items on bank toons.

But lets be quite clear here... NO ONE wants a whole NEW set of dropped crafting matierials and the need for huge website based guides on how the crafting system works (like shroud). It should be simple and easy to follow, that any "special" person could figure out.

So here is what I suggest=
    1. New item drop "Gem of the Suffix" added to loot tables/quest rewards/DDO store
    2. New item drop "Gem of the Prefix" added to loot tables/quest rewards/DDO store
    3. New item Vendors= Weapon +1-5 blanks, Armor +1-5 blanks, Accesories etc.
    4. Take a random drop item (example= +1 holy shortsword of smiting)
    5. Add to the Stone of Change with a "Gem of the Prefix" and hit CHANGE!
    6. "Gem of the Prefix" now becomes "Gem of Holy"
    7. Take a random drop item (example= +1 rapier of pure good)
    8. Add to the Stone of Change with a "Gem of the Suffix" and hit CHANGE!
    9. "Gem of the Suffix" now becomes "Gem of Pure Good"
    10. Now take a +5 Light Pick blank (example) and add both gems to the Stone of Change and hit CHANGE!
    11. Finished product= +5 holy light pick of Pure Good

Adding Prefixes or Suffixes that push item levels beyond what is possible (Example= +5 Improved Cursespewing longsword of Improved Destruction) result in a Failure! message.

This will finally allow normal crafting to take place in DDO, while greatly reducing the stress /cost of farming for very specific and ultimately rare weapon and item combos. Do I expect complaints? OF COURSE! This is DDO after all! I expect the usual whines of "I was so happy when I finally pulled a Wounding of Puncturing rapier, paid millions for one, etc." but those will be ignored as everyone benefits from this change. Only prides over owning a rare weapon combo are damaged.

However! Pride will STILL exist (allthough on a much smaller scale) as random drop weapons (with a Race Required) will still have lower item levels then crafted. In addition people will see a far greater use of DDO vendors for items with a Prefix/Suffix, and while weapon auction prices will certainly drop, sales of "Gems of the Prefix" etc. will go up!

Yep - absolutely great idea! Would love to see this.

Get rid of the Vendor Trash!!!!!!!!!! Its sooooo boring.... collecting loads and loads of trash loot, and then going down to the vendor to sell it... Its sooo silly that soo many chests drop soo much trash.

Would be sooo much more fun if we could just craft the items we want!

Make the crafting materials rare, but have them replace a percentage of the vendor trash we find in chests.
So in everything, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Add in Material gems; so Adamantine, Silver, ect can be added, and multiple blanks (look wise).
