    Default THF Pally Build Question

Okay, I know that there is a debate about TWF vs THF post U5...
However, I plan on going a pure human pally build and do NOT want to spend 3 feats to get TWF to work correctly.

I am planning on doing a DPS type build.

I am currently LRing a lvl7 pally that I frankly messed up horribly. I don't want to talk about it. The bright side is that I had enough points to get some +2 tomes.

Here is my projected build (not including +2)

    16
    10
    14
    08 (Intimidate and Jump)
14 (I am considering dropping this due to the fact that Pally has the option for +Wis enhancements and the +2 thing)
14 (I would LOVE more Cha for LOH and other stuff but think I need more CON)

    Lvl 1- THF
    Lvl 1 (Human)- Great-sword Proficency
    Lvl 3- Not sure yet.

Please feel free to leave ideas.

    Paladins start with Greatsword proficiency.

You need to do some reading first.
your build doesnt even make sense
did you read Junts guide to Pallys yet?

    try this 28pt distribution.

    18Str
    14Con
    08Dex
    08Wis
    08Int (UMD)
    14Cha

    Feats:
    Toughness
Force of Personality (change it to Extend Spell around 9th lvl or so)
    THF
    Power Attack
    Improved Crit: Slashing
    ITHF
    GTHF
    Skill Focus: Use Magic Device

You might want to get skill focus earlier if you like the skill as much as i do.

    Default Build

    I'd go with:

    Str: 17
    Dex: 8
    Con: 14
    Int: 8
    Wis: 8
    Cha: 17

    And feats like:

    1: Toughness
    1: Two-handed fighting
    3: Power Attack
    6: Extend Spell
    9: Improved Two-handed Fighting
    12: Improved critical: Slashing weapons
    15: Greater Two-handed Fighting
18: skill focus: Use Magic Device or Stunning Blow (to taste)

The rest of the build is here, second one down.

Personally I think it's better to take IC: Slashing sooner and Power Attack later. IC:Slashing will increase your passive dps. While Power Attack at low levels often affects your to hit, especially when moving.

The WF build I'm planning probably provides a good base. The extra human feat can be whatever to spice.

    FEATS
    Level 1: Toughness
    Level 3: Two Handed Fighting
    Level 6: Extend
Level 9: Improved Critical: Slashing Weapons
Level 12: Improved Two Handed Fighting
    Level 15: Power Attack
Level 18: Greater Two Handed Fighting

Switching the two (IC and ITWF) sounds a good idea unless your particular fighting style is pretty stationary (some people like that I hear). What I do not understand is the statement in red. The build I shamelessly stole from Junt's guide (see the link) used the human additional 1st feat to move THF to level 1 with Toughness and inserted power attack at level 3. IC slash can't go in the lvl 3 slot so I am not sure what you propose putting in the 3rd feat slot. Cheers
