Default DDO causing computer to freeze since Update today.

I was playing DDO for several hours yesterday with no problem on Windows XP Professional.

After updating DDO today my computer has crashed twice within 2 minutes of logging in with a character.

Not a BSOD crash like I was experiencing on the Windows 7 boot (which appears to be related to an unstable Windows 7 Update) but simply a total freeze.

    Graphics Card: Geforce 9600 GT
    Memory: 8GB
OS: Windows XP Professional, SP 2
CPU: AMD Phenom II Quad Core

Considering that I was running DDO just fine right before this patch (on Windows XP), I don't believe the problem is on my end.

Now trying to reinstall the game *crosses fingers*

    Video Card: GeForce 8800GTS 512

I'm also crashing on the same setup with Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit. I thought it might've been a Windows Update which caused the problem, but today I watched videos online for several hours with no problem on the Windows 7 boot.

I have recently downloaded the Windows SDK for the debugging tools to determine what exactly the cause is. I know it's associated with DDO, I just don't know how.

Yeah, It's definitely DDO, and It's definitely the new update. Though I have no idea what this update did that's causing this.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that only worked for a short time, then I crashed again.

    Soooo, I have no idea.

The new update may have issues with our actual hardware. Especially seeing that We both have GeForce cards and AMD Phenom processors. IDK maybe it doesn't like that combo?

Well, I love that combo, and if DDO doesn't it can bite me, honestly. I am not going to jump through hoops for this game, even if I am a Vet a few days shy of being a founder.

They broke it, they should fix it, is my opinion.
