Setting up finishing moves

Hey All,

Apologies for my noobness, but I rolled up a human Monk and I'm having some problems understanding how to set up my finishing moves. Every time I hit one, it says I missed my opportunity?? I'm pretty sure I'm missing something here!! Can someone point me in the right direction or provide a link to the appropriate post?

I'm a light Monk with high Dex and Wis. I can't get onto DDO ATM (Update5 Patch1) to list my current feats and stats.

Drag your strikes onto you hotbar, drag the "finishing moves" icon to your hot bar (i think its under feats?), use your strikes in a particular order and the finishing moves button changes to the finisher, then you hit the finisher.

the combos are element,element,element (ex. fire,fire,fire) or element,light,element but yeah sinibyte is correct

also remember u cant do anything but hit, move, and jump; opening doors or looting interupts your combo

Just another thing that might happen, dont hit your finishing move icon before it is light up (enough ki) or it wastes the finishing move.

If you are trying to do the same combo in rapid succession you might just need to wait another second or two before hitting the finisher icon. The finishing moves have short hidden cooldowns that you can't see on the finisher icon.

Also, use lower level Ki strikes in your combo to complete them faster, such as:
Earth IV
Earth III
Earth IV
Finisher
