Does the nyoko spy set stack with tharnes goggles as far as damage and to hit?
Does the nyoko spy set stack with tharnes goggles as far as damage and to hit?
The to-hit bonus is exceptional, so yes, but the sneak attack damage does not stack according to ddo-wiki.
I don't have the ninja spy necklace yet to test it.
As a general rule, all bonuses of different names (enhancement, morale, competence, armor, shield, deflection, resistance, etc.) stack with each other. Bonuses of the same name do not stack; only the highest bonus will apply. The exception to this is the dodge bonus which does stack with other dodge bonuses. In PNP, unnamed bonuses stack with everything; I'm not sure if there are any unnamed bonuses in DDO.
Damage Resistance does not stack; the highest DR will always apply. Note that DR 1/- is better than DR 10/adamantine if you're being hit with a metalline short sword.
Sneak attack damage should stack, if the game follows PnP rules, but I can't answer this from experience.
Yeah but it says the same with the assassin set... but Instead of the +11 as one would think. I get +9 to hit for sneak atks. I can't really test the damage as that kinda requires a class with no sneak atk dice.
+4 for the requirements of Assassin 3 and +5 from Tharns.
Actually Insight bonuses of different types do stack. Luck bonuses are stackable in PnP however, only two items I think of have luck bonuses of different values go in the same slot. So I do not know for sure if they stack in DDO. Also, you left out psionic bonuses from items (IE Titans Grip). Unamed bonuses come from things like guild ships NPC's that can buff you and they stack with everything.
Actually insight bonuses of different values still do not stack, but exceptional bonuses do. I have personally tested both.
And as I do a little diligence myself on ddowiki its saying that the damage from sa bonus doesnt stack and its only a plus 2 to hit on sa only which really makes it pretty pointless vs say a shintao set.
If it comes down to between ninja spy and shintao: shintao is better for DPS but ninja spy is better if you need to generate less aggro. IE: if yo have to stop damaging because you are pulling aggro then for that time frame you are doing no damage at all. If you pull less aggro you have to stop doing damage less often = more overall DPS.
Shade wrote a nice post on the ToD sets a while back. You can find it here.
Doesn't stack. Non-monk set additional benefits like ravager, tempest don't work with unarmed.
