Default Guild Ship Amenities - Gaming

First and foremost I want to say that the implementation of the guild ship was a fantastic idea and in my opinion is working very well. I also enjoy the guild ranking system that has been put into action as well as it adds a whole different aspect to the game.

One of the things I have noticed with the guid ships is that it is mostly going to be used to setup buff vendors or maybe even some shop vendors (like a bartender, etc...) which means that except for maybe an occasional guild meeting there will not be must of a reason to linger on the guild ship.

    My Proposal:
Add a gaming table that can be interactive with a certain number of players. Maybe put in some of the following that can be played by 1-4 players or something.

    > Poker - Texas hold 'em, 5 card draw, etc...
    > Others as I think of them.

Anyway when the players approach the small table in a corner of the guild ship one of the players could select the game his group will play and spend some time doing that. Players would be able to gamble with there in game gold or platinum in a poker game lets say.

What say you all to something like this?

The options are endless you could even have the gaming table take up a small hook point maybe.

Something like this would be great! Especially the idea that you could wager in-game money... That would be awesome.

I like the idea. Gambling isn't a new thing in DDO anyway (ever gambled with the NPC in the taverns?).
In case you didn't already notice, my posts that end with must NEVER EVER, under any circumstances, be taken seriously.

Or maybe a small computer, so you can put some DDO in your DDO.

    Naw.

Add new PvP Arena, The Chess Board.

Looks like a chess board, but the pieces are the players. Move, fight, and play a game of chess...

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

The denizens in Eberron don't know what poker is, they've for sure never heard of Texas, and might not even play with proper cards, depending on the wealth status of the players.

What they do know, however, is a game called Three Dragon Ante. This is what adventurers play in between dungeon-delving action.

Coincidentally, there is the real life version of 3DA that you can play, and it's fun. But that fact is neither here nor there.

I would love if my character could spend a few hours in game grinding on DDO as one of my alts... He could even make my alt grind another alt account...

    ouch... my head hurts

Again, hate me all you want, but creating a whole new realm takes priority over a broken bag. This is pretty much true of a few of the other issues that crept in today also.
