    Default Paladin build questions.

I just recently went Free Premium and got the 32 pt. build. I have purchased no other options at this point.

I am looking for a human Paladin for mostly soloing, but occasional groups runs.

But I'm not sure on what prestige and enhancements to take. I would prefer a Bastard Sword. Not sure if I want to multiclass or not.

    Any suggestions?

See Junts post on building a paladin. It will give you all of your different options.

Junt's A Guide to Creating Paladins is the single best Paladin resource on the forums.

    What exactly does intimadate do?

Is rouge a good option to start?

IMO, the 1st thing you should do is a little research. It seems that you are new to the game and the forums are a great resource of information. Think of what you want your build to do, do some research to tweek your idea, then go have fun.

17pal/3mnk FoL Human w/whirling Steel Strike to use longswords.
get 30% human healing amp + DT 30% healing amp + Jidz-Tetka bracers + Fire stance = 2-6hp per swing and around 200hp finisher heal every 9sec. Now that's a lot of Soloability

Intimidate is used to pull aggro (make an enemy attack you).

Paladin/Rogue mixes can be a very good build. Rogue adds a dash of sneak attack, evasion (with a two level splash) and full UMD. You lose the excellent Paladin capstone and DM4 though. I would suggest planning such a build very carefully.

    I was thinking:

    Str 13: EWP: BS
    Dex 13: Dodge
    Con: 12
    Int: 12: 4 sk pts/level
    Wis: 12
    Chr: 16

While a Paladin is a excellent solo class, taking Intimidate on a character you plan to solo is a HUG waste of precious skill points! As mentioned about, it is used to pull mobs to you - and off of the caster/cleric/etc. If you are soloing, there is ZERO need for this as you are their one and only target!

Read Junts Guide, try a build and be prepared to make adjustments/LR/or even as a last resort - reroll as needed as you learn the game.

I have two Paladins - one TWF and one THF. I love playing both (and currently one is a TR at lvl 12 the other lvl 20), but had to LR my original first day of pre-release Pally when it first came out as I had him at level 16 (the cap at the time) and realized he was gimped. I am glad I did not re-roll (but rolled the second one) as after GR he is a blast to play again.

Good Luck with your build and enjoy your Pally!
