X-Company (Sarlona)

X-Company is an elite squad of soldiers trained in military tactics, team coordination, and stealth. The majority of the company is made up of units proficiant with Crossbows, or "Xbows" Hence the name. X-company is not a guild itself, but a group within a guild known as "The Talon". This company is amoung one of the only that uses a uniform code, however enchancments, buffs, etc, are allowed. The simple rule is that it must look the same as others.

There are currently two classes within X-company: Heavy Weapons and Standard Infantry, here is a rundown of the two.

Heavy Weapons:
The heavy weapons unit is proficiant with great crossbows and wears light chainmail armor for protection. This unit also carries powerful melee weapons and/or sheilds. The specifics of the Heavy weapons unit are up to the player, but great X-bows are highly recommended, due to their extremly high damage capacity and range. The HW unit can also be considered a sniper.

Infantry:
This unit is just as you would expect, a standard soldier class with proficancy in repeating crossbows. An asset to any operation, the infantrymen uses tactics to overcome obsticals at any given time, and must use his fellow units to his advantage. As for armor, the infantrymen uses enchanced cloth to get him/her self extra performance boosts in the battlefield.

*Both classes are proficant in stealth, wether a rogue or a ranger.

Tactics:

-The Wedge formation is used to break enemy defences, as well as put as much defence on the formard line as possible. Can also be used in defence of a large area of land

-The Box formation is used to protect VIPs, like healers or item carryers, any member of the party that is a major asset to the operation should remain within that perimetre

-The Line formation is used to hold areas of land from enemy attack, or to dispatch a strom unit quickly. By concentrating all fire on a single target, combat effictivness is increased. Holding this line, however, may prove difficult, as fear may overcome a party member, causing them to split from the pack, disrupting the formation.

-Lastly, we have Guerrilla warefare, one of the most commonly used to date. By flanking, ambushing, and using cover to your advantage, a group of patroling enemies can be dispatched quickly without compromising the location of the party.

*Guerrilla warefare can include any number of tactics and formations, and is the prefered way of combat for

Yes, uniforms. Although you may have something stronger or better, doesnt mean you are exused, HOWEVER, if your armor proves to be an asset to the operation, you may use it with officer permission. here are some examples: http://yfrog.com/03uniformsp

Please keep in mind that this company is not based on brute strenth, and tactics and coordination can overcome a head on approach in any given situation. High armor and stats are not everything.
