Not sure about guilds for Texans only but Legends has a large base of Texas players in it and serveral others that are located in CST. However we also have players as far away as Australia in our guild and welcome them with open arms.

Motto: Enjoy the game, loot and XP will follow
Question: If Texas had thier own guild, would it be BIGGER & BETTER than every other guild
Question: If Texas had their own guild, would they unite and secede from the game to start their own server?
Incorrect.
Despite Sam Houston's objections, Texas did indeed secede from the Union during the Civil War thus making it part of the South in practice.

Nooooo! Not this argument again. My comment was supposed to be a lulz, not a oh-noes! I'm going back to Ghallanda, I'm causing too much drama in Khyber :-)
There was a guild on Thelanis called the Rusty Sheriffs Badge, I thought it a tad strange the prereq was male only.
Not exactly part of the South. It was really ALLIED with the south. In reality, Texas simply exercised it's explicitly granted right which was part of the 1845 Treaty of Annexation, when the Republic of Texas (a sovereign nation since 1836 which had been recognized by the US and England in particular) joined the US. As part of the treaty, they were given the explicit right to secede from the US, unlike all of the other states which were NEVER a sovereign country, and were simply created states.
Texans exercised that right, and then the Republic of Texas was ALLIED (read: not a part of, any more than our current ally England is part of the US) with the Confederate States of America. Even though secession was declared unconstitutional on the part of the states, the right to do so if the citizens of Texas chose to was part of the entire REASON that Texas even became part of the US.
Yes, they were on the losing side. Yes, Texas is still a captured nation of war that has been allowed representation. No, Texas did not illegally secede, they did it lawfully according to the agreement made by the US. California and Hawaii were the only other states which were countries prior to their joining the US. California, though, was only a country for a VERY short time, and their entire purpose in creating a country WAS to join the US. Hawaii, of course, for those who've paid attention, was actually apologized to in the 90s for the way we took over there. Never expected the US to admit wrongdoing even from that far back.
Not that it matters much today, Texans are still in many cases dbags. (Disclaimer: Lived in Tx for 15 years)
No.
The "treaty" between Texas and the United States does NOT, I repeat, does NOT explicitly give Texas the right to secede from the Union. What it does do, is allow Texas to split up into 4 additional states (total of 5) at any time.

The Texas Constitution also does not explicitly say Texas can secede either.

P.S. Texas was actually in the Confederacy. Texas was NOT just allied with the Confederacy, it was part of it! Its date of admission into the Confederacy was March 2, 1861.

I beleive the splitting in to four states was something they pput in was never recognized by Texas, they been trying to split Texas up in to seperate states for a long time. I recall someone that wrote a book called "The Eyes of Texas" telling me that Texas could seceed from the Union and someone in the Texas senate propossed it every year (at the time, which was a long time ago).
I could and might be wrong, im not that strong of Texas History and that indepth to it. However, I am a Texan (Houston).
Moebius,
Either find this book in your local library or somewhere else:
"The Truth About Texas" by Anne Dingus (IHNW, IJLS "Anne Dingus") ISBN 0-87719-282-0
Oh and just to clarify, Texas, as a condition to join the Union, DID indeed reserve the right to split itself into 4 additional states which means it could split up into a total of 5.
Guys, I'm right about Texas, both in Confederacy membership/being part of the "South" thing and the secession/split into 5 states thing. My mom was from Beaumont and my grandfather was a land and title attorney in Beaumont. Believe me, they knew what was what.
If you don't believe me, I absolutely urge you to at least read my links in my posts above.
Hey man not trying to upset ya, was just asking if ya was sure. Because I wasn't and I even said that, its been so long since i was that indepth of Texas history.

At one point in time Australia had a single property that was bigger than the state of Texas :P It was on the corner of SA, NSW and Qld (Cameron's Corner).
I had a friend who told a Texan that once. They were not happy.

I gotcha Moebius. My statement that you most likely reacted to was directed more at quitekey0 and cardmj1.
See the third link in response 15 above.

I was using that FAQ more to show the none of the Texas Constitutions ever said anything about an explicit right to secede.
