It is the same reason that bullies beat up weaker individuals. They get their rocks off by proving how "superior" they are through intimidation and violence. In this case these losers have an over inflated sense of their epeen and feel the need to whip it out and compare it to every other person they can.

You do know that those places you've mentioned aren't the only places that you can PvP right? You can always go to the empty ones such as the one in House Deneith or as someone above me posted, go into a private PvP instance. The one where the npc tells you that you can enter PvP 'matches'.

If you don't like getting killed by other people, then don't kill other people. Generally in PvP, if someone kills me, I don't care, I try again or if they keep aiming for me, I go someplace else.

The only gripe I ever had with someone in PvP is that stupid lvl 19 bard who kept using fascinate and other stupid spells to keep me dancing for a very long time. Doesn't that ***** know that spells/songs that keep people stuck for a long time are frowned upon in PvP?

P.S. Yes it was a bit of a rant. I still hate that stupid *****.
In case you didn't already notice, my posts that end with must NEVER EVER, under any circumstances, be taken seriously.

Why are you wasting your time PVPing when you should be leveling those toons?

PvP blows in this game anyway - everyone knows it, even the Devs say it sucks.
There is an "Alternate" Forum, PM Strakeln for details.

Dont bring a knife to a gun fight.

Bring your whole guild of TR's lv 20 A-Toons and take ownership of the pvp area, Kickback drink a beer then move along..

A brawling room is a free for all room of chaos. And I think it's kind of cool it exists. When I go in on my non capped characters I expect at any moment for a lvl20 to swoop in and own my poor hp bar. But that's part of the fun of trying to survive and such in there. Now I do frown upon the high levels that just repeatedly nuke the **** out of any low lvls or a particular low level repeatedly. That's just not cool. Occasionally turning around and taking one out is fine in my book. I do it occasionally and expect it to be done against me occasionally. Just don't be a jerk about it. Most of the time when I kill a low lvl in brawls is because they came up and started attacking me. That's just asking for it.

I think OP should try playing EVE sometimes. EVE is free for all everywhere, all the time. And, PVP is pretty much non-existent in this game. I mean, think about it. It's based off d&d. D&D is "balanced" so that casters are insanely overpowered at higher levels, and they're completely useless at low levels. I can't see a good pvp system coming out of that "balance"

    Also, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unkIVvjZc9Y.

They kill everyone except themselves and says that if someone goes in, they gonna kill them. What the F???

We went to the Phoenix tavern after that because we were sick lv 20 who pwn everyone...
When we arrived, we started pvp just me and my friends and just then, a lv 10 ranger attack us and killed us all except my friend lv 9 pure range.

He went angry because my friend killed him and called his lv 20 friend with a bunch of other dudes to attack us. (They are 4 in total...)

What is that for???? i tried to explain the situation but these guys just keep killing us...

one of them tells us that: if you attack him again, i will throw a lightning ball on your face. LOL!
So i said we apologize for what we done (what we done exactly is unknown...) and in exchange, do not attack us anymore... he accepted but then, he attack us and killed us all for a unknown reason. we then killed him and That dude kill us after...
*IF YOU ATTACK HIM AGAIN, ILL MAKE SURE YOU WILL SUFFER*
    WHAT WAS THAT FOR???

ok... im out... Seriously people, DDO is a very good game with a lot of contents but... PVP is just lame...
Sorry about my language but... IM REALLY ANGRY
Ok dude, let me explain the basics. PVP vets are jerkfaces (i'm using toned down language because i'm running out of infraction points). plain & simple they go out of there way to spoil the fun of everyone else. There is a reason why they hang out in that PVP section, rather then ones in higher level areas... Its so then they can slaughter low level characters & feel important as they "hold court."

We had this happen a few weeks ago with some people who never leave PVP, so we organised a walk out. Everyone left the PVP section as a raid group & then warned everyone else not to go in. We all just left the area so they couldn't see us & they quickly grew bored.

    Thats my advice.

They get jollies from beating up little kids - no offense intended.

You now have first hand experience as to why a great deal of us were/are against PvP in DDO.

It has no pace here and brings out the worse in people.

However, I would like a PvP Crewmate on our Guildship - at least the availability.

Would be a convenience item and surprised there is not one already.
