GS blanks are not the best weapons a level 12 f2p'er has access too (they are min level 12 not 11).

None of them are better than +4 Holy weapons, and most are weaker than +3 Holy weapons.

Yeah, I get that.
Hence, I thought it would be 'cool', as in, no one else in your group has one.
Like getting armor that does not look horrid, or something that is interesting instead of number-based-min/max-awesome.

Yes, confirmed. I got a Dwarven Thrower, although I wasn't sure what coin(s) got it since I use the option "take one set of whatever you need that I have" (paraphrased).

Why would someone want a GS blank if they didn't have the Vale pack? I mean, even with the alters on the airships and in Amrath, it would be really hard to upgrade it... So, imo, it being "Non-f2p" has nothing to do with the price.
