That made me smile
Q&A is the business of pointing out others' failures. Optimists need not apply.
That is correct. I guess only few people understand about what I meant, so here is to clarify...
When I made my character, I had this option:
Str: 12
Dex: 20
Con: 14
Int: 14
Wis/Cha: 8
OR...
Str: 6
Dex: 20
Con: 16
Int: 14
Wis/Cha: 8
I would rather have an extra 20 hit points at level 20 instead of +3 damage.
It is shameless, but yes, I did not take the toughness feat (and therefore none of the enhancements) which explains my low hit points (I admitted it, alright? ) Does that mean I die all the time? Only if I play like an idiot. I have other ways to keep myself alive like constant stoneskining, displacement scrolls, carrying plenty of heal scrolls, et cetera. Also, I always go in last. It may not make up for the extra hp, but whatever makes my toon more durable.
And 400+ hp? Give me time, I haven't twinked him to the max with raid loot yet.
Or, how about
STR : 14
DEX : 18
CON : 14
INT : 14
WIS : 8
CHA : 8
I see no real reason to start with a 20 Dex, it just a waste of build points IMO. With all the buffs to bump up your HP (Rage, Madstone, Yugo pots, Exceptional on ToD ring ect..) worring about 20 endgame is silly.
Even if i made a halfling caster, i wouldn't dare start with 6 STR, get hit with one Ray of Exhaustion and : Helpless

I'm actually impressed that you managed to survive for so long with only a 6 Str base. I tried rolling a halfling rogue with 6 Str base once, thinking naively that a few points of extra damage didn't matter and Weapon Finesse would give me a good to hit bonus. I was right, but I quickly found two things inconvenienced me a lot. 1) Any time I got hit by ray of enfeeblement I was incapped. 2) I couldn't carry ****. I was regularly finding myself forced to leave stuff in chests, not because my inventory was full, but because I was hitting my max weight limit. It was so frustrating I rerolled at level 7. See? I didn't even make it very far. When I reincarnated my rogue recently I went with a 12 Str (up from 10). It had nothing to do with extra damage, but everything to do with not being burdened just because I was carrying a few sets of full plate around. Now I'm at 20 (+2 tome and +6 item) and I carry around a stack of 100 rage pots. I'm a much happy camper.
But gratz on surviving so long with such a low Str. And gratz on killing the golem.
Another example of how the game rewards the weak and punishes the strong

+3 Damage per swing > + 20 Hit Points(As long as you have a Reasonable amount)
+3 Damage > +1 to Hit
Good story, got a smile from me
Once upon a time, I was part of a team, and we saved some children. That was long ago and far away, and, yes, I am that old.
