Possible False Rumor

You may see a thread about a monk running the reaver raid for the 40th time. Said monk may have got fly and promptly killed themselves on the spikes on the way to the switch. While technically this is exactly what happened, one of the healers in the party should have also got fly and followed said monk and prevented this from happening.

I just wanted to clear this up (and deflect blame) ahead of time.

You are not helping the monk at all. Focus on the other 11 people that could have prevented the spike impaling.

I don't hate monks! I think up to 2 levels of Monk is valuable addition to ANY class. It's when you get three or higher in the mix that tends to cause problems...hehe

I'm thinking that the monk in question probably didnt need the extra +3 to hit the spike traps though, since those characters are usually skilled enough to succeed on a 2+.

Ummm, did said monk die upon merely contacting the spikes, or did it take repeated attempts. I mean, a lot of Barbs I know merely use those spikes for some facial grooming to get the kinks out of the old golden locks before returning to the fray.

No. The monk was a little giddy from excitement. The monk hit some spikes and thought, pffttt, I wont hit any more. 417 hps later, the monk was laughed at by everyone on the run.

It was 397! I was able to even out my con score with a +3 tome, from my 40th shroud last night. I have yugo and rage pots for when I am feeling uber gimpy. It is on for the guild!
