    Default 12fighter/6 paly/2 monk Inti / hate tank help

    I am posting here because I would like to find the best way to both inti at elite lvl raids and also hate tank. However, I never multi classed before and would like some advise on how to go about it. I will be TRing again for the second time so I will have access to a 36 point build along with some +3tomes. I have 2 paladin past lives. I am leaning towards human for the extra feat. The build will be called 'Knight of the Old Republic'

    tomes i have:

    +3 strength
    +3 con
    +3 dex
    +2 char
    +2 inti
    +2 wisdom

    Here's one plan i had for my intimitank. I went with 2rog instead of 2mnk, but either is fine.

    edit - the tomes aren't shown at the correct levels, but i think everything is still fine if taken at their appropriate ML. This was also made when you could tumble around faster than you could run when in defender stance. They said they were changing it, but it still worked fine for me last time i checked a few weeks ago.

    TY for suggestion however I went max dps to gain hate tank ability wit no problem and i got my inti up as well. Please send me your opinion. This was possible thnx to +3 tomes availble to me and upgraded ToD rings. Once again I will stress please send me opinions.

    Important stats I end up with are:

    Power critical feat is not needed. Confirming criticals is usually not a problem, especially with your kensai enhancements. I went thru dps calculations comparing defender vs kensai for my particular build, and you'll do ~10-15% more dps than the defender. Not bad. I'm probably gonna switch over at some point.

    With divine righteousness you may be able to hate tank while twf, but not while sword and board. It won't give you enough hate generation in s&b mode. You'll have be an intimitank when going s&b. You should have enough AC and intim for most raid bosses on normal. Elite and epic may be different.

    If your wanting to hate tank then the best race is Warforged. Currently the are the only ones that gets the Brute Fighting line of enhancements that increases the aggro generated by your attacks.

    CLick onto my sig and go to the top of the thread. Its a halfling version but you can see it has divine righteousness for double hate and you could conform the intimidate approprietly, plus all the dragonmarks for more self healing and with CE working without unclicking while healing amkes for an optimal choice for your multisplash.

    I like this build a lot, especially for the combination of evasion and divine grace with Kensei II, a nice balance of offense and defense. I've created some similar 12F/2P/6M builds on a completely different page in some first attempts to create a Jedi Knight, and I hereby officially dub your build a Jedi Knight candidate. The only problem is people might complain that it is not acrobatic enough. Pure monk is cool, but for a Jedi Knight it just doesn't seem appropriate. Some combination of F/P/M is necessary, and you just got me thinking about it again. Perhaps 2F/6P/12M would be acrobatic enough. I still like your splash better.

    For 12M/6P/2F there's the M9 monk intimitank build.

    Here's my version which differs in having tumble and DoS instead of HotD.Having 38 tumble unbuffed allows me to do front flips far enough to pretty much ignore the speed reduction from DoS. I have no problem tanking HoX on hard with solid fog clickies aswell as VoD on hard and sully in ToD on normal without getting cursed even as a human.

    With >500hp once my shroud cloak/goggles are done (at 497 now in defense stance and wind stance), 290% incomming healing in wind stance, improved evasion, high AC, and high saves it's pretty hard to damage me on the defense. With power attack, divine might, divine sacrifice, exalted smite, human damage boost, human haste boost, wind stance 3, unarmed attack speed, and ki strikes I can do respectable damage on the offense. I'm not even fully geared up yet. Soon I'm gonna try out divine righteousness in defense stance for +150% hate tanking. I held harry in shroud part 5 for a while even without divine righteousness so I'll see how it goes.

    The highest I've seen my AC so far is 82 blocking with barkskin, bard AC song, and +3 from a full paladin's AC aura, aswell as haste and whatever else was going. I still need to get protection 5, upgrade from +7 to +8 armor bracers, chattering ring, epic spectral gloves and exceptional dex, helm of the mroranon epic and exceptional wisdom. That will net me another 7 AC.

    Right now my AC is 60 standing unbuffed in defense stance.

    I get alot of complements on how effective this character is, and healers tend to get giddy when they see how much healing amp I have.

    Thank you guys for your insights. So I am guessing my build is good enough. I will let you know how it plays out and how it feels in the coming weeks. Also, I would like to mention I will be kinda stealing the jedi knight name but I will call mine Knight of the Old Republic Build, I love that series, so this is my Knight.
