    Default Unholy traps

So I recently started playing my rogue some more and have found that I got lucky (or not depending on view) but scavenged some unholy trap parts. Has enyone crafted a trap from unholy and what does it do. I am still farming some parts when I jump on my rogue, and will have to get that trap making guide from the NPC in the hrbor or market. Anyway, thought I would check to see if someone made an unholy trap as of yet.

Also anyone have a good forum link regarding trap building that I can look up.

    Thanks in advance.

Coldin has a good thread up here: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=259276

His directions to the basic crafting station in the harbor are poor - it's right next to the entrance for the "Stop Hazadil's (sp?) Shipment" quest out of Baudry's string. Looks like a small forge and a workbench, with the paving replaced by wooden flooring.

Yours is the first report I've seen of any alignment parts - any idea where you picked them up? I have some chaotic good extraplanar elves who are just begging for a round of mines.

I thought I got it from the force trap in graverobber at the start, but went back in again on hard to see if I could get some more and got force parts. Still trying to think of where I got them from but I am sure they may drop from undead quests. That is where I am gonna farm a bit to see if I can score some more.

There's some discussion about it at the end of coldin's thread - somebody thought they dropped out of a house J quest, but don't remember which one.

Yer i didnt rememer - comes from playing at 1am after many drinks

UNHOLY trap mines are useless and can only make it to 2nd tier (soulgems must match trap part)
though enough unholy hand grenades in a lowbies hands can be effective (esp in arena)

I hear unholy hand grenades are particularly effective against killer rabbits,

Wouldn't that just be taking the original soul out of the body of the undead creature? then again that would only make sense in the context of conscious, intelligent undead, not Zombies or constructed skeletons (unless those corpse's souls had yet to pass into the next world and wandered eberron).

This brings up the question...how do things ever truly die in a D&D world when Resurrection spells exist?

Turbine, you can hire more developers for the game. We operate on a giant Theocracy of Debt, so go all out finding developers for the best MMO out there

Undead have souls, the souls are just corrupted. Unintelligent undead are just like a human on too much drugs. Get the right mix and a person will do whatever you tell him to.

    Raise dead and resurrection:
    A) are expensive, far beyond the means of most average folks,
    B) dont work on people who died of old age or other natural causes, since raising them would just stick them back in a non functioning body and they d immediately die again (raise dead and res both heal the body, but if its natural state is considered to be non functional then that is the state to which it will be healed),
    C) you need remains to raise them, and
    D) have a time limit within which they will work after the death.

    E) For raise dead and resurrection to work, the dead have to want to come back to life. Depending on what afterlife the dead person ends up in, they might feel they are better off staying in the outer planes.

yeah dude. I am farming the parts myself. they come from the haunted library quest in house J. theres only 1 trap in the whole game where they drop and its the trap in that quest in front of the shrine doors after you fall down the pit. you head back west and the trap that hits you when you try to go through the shrine doors. why im collecting them? they are cool! lol. purple and they might be used for something cool in the future. everyone remember festival twigs? but yeah right now they have no use that anyone knows of.

Off topic, but sometimes you scare me Ghoste, and that's hard to do! Are you sure you're not really the first AI Automaton who really IS working on a master plan for world domination of fleshies?!?!!
