    Default Epitaph!

Greetings! I am Valtruin, the head officer of Epitaph, and I am here to inform you that our guild is looking for members! Well, we are always looking for members hehe, but then again, what guild isn't? We are active, quite active, generally during the day we have about 100ish people on all the time, and during the night about 80ish people on all the time. We are currently looking for active, experienced members who are patient and can help teach the newer players things that we need to know to progress.

If you are interested please tell a Recruiter, or mail/message Shunta or Aises.

Word has been going around that our guild is using new players to get renown then kicking them from the guild. Yet, there is no evidence of us doing so, and the only characters that we have kicked from the guild are level 1-3's that have been inactive for over a week, which we are to assume are either alts or people that have quit the game. We just don't see the point of starting a guild spending a ton of time and money on it then just kicking everyone. What would be the point?

Since people took a disliking to our last Motto, here is our new one.
    Our Guild Motto:

Does this guild actively participate in the new guild-reknown system, and if so how would you rate your efforts and accomplishments vs that of other khyber guilds?

It sounds like you are a large active guild, what raids are you currently running and how often are they run?

Yes, the guild is very active.

As for rating ourselves against other guilds.. why not join and find out for yourself?

Those that must make themselves feel secure by looking how well they are doing compared to others will never be truly secure.

The guild is new, and hence we do no seem to have the levels to raid as of yet.

We are in the building phase from what I can see and doing well. The guild is most suited to those that are new or enjoy playing the early game again and would like to play with others that welcome advice and leadership.

The guild with the highest membership and the most renown cannot raid yet?

    I'm confused.

Not very hard to understand really.

We have lots of members and they are very active but not many are of high level so no raiding at this time.

Personally I find the renown concept for guild leveling silly but only because of the name they chose for it.. if it had been called "Activity" then it would make more sense.

Sorry, I thought you got more renown for doing higher and harder quests than doing lower and easier ones.

I guess I was wrong. My bad.

    No bad at all.

There is a reason why lower level quests offer the same rewards of renown as higher level ones. If only the higher level ones offered decent amounts of renown then no guild in their right mind would allow "lowbies" to play since they would cause more renown decay than they could repair...

Why would you put this in your guild advertisement post? It doesnt make sense. I suggest you try again. Perhaps you need some editing.

I think it makes sense. Best way to deal with unfounded accusations is to bring them into the light and refute them up front... but that's just me I guess.

This will be changing in the next patch apparently - elite and epic quests should give higher renown.

Will be interesting to see how this affects the guild rankings.

I am 99.9% certain that it will be in no way retroactive. If they hurry up and do it fast there might be some sense of justice to it.

    /hijack

On topic, how well would you say your guild, being an admittedly new guild, is open to constructive criticism?

How can you kick people who have been inactive for a week??

I have some alts that have been inactive for about a month, that has something to do with being focused on a TR or on a particular build.....

May I ask where the incentive is to join your guild as such??

Nope, its just a numbers game. (chests/time)*(number of players)=guild with highest renown points. Its just that simple and has no use in rewarding the most respected guilds out there (for example TA) or the guilds with the greatest number of epic or end game raid completions.

If you want the best airship with all the goodies, then you have to have a medium to large guild. Mostly due to the upkeep(again a sheer numbers game) that is required from the decay (that is supposed to be significant at higher levels)
