Is there a way to see is any Recruiters of Epitaph are on? I don't feel that shouting "Looking to join Epitaph!" in the Epic Flood called General Chat will be effective way of doing it.

    Default Extremely Leery

I am immediately leery about joining a guild that even has 600 some odd members. I don't even have three words for these types of guilds I have three letters DRB<---------Reputation precedes itself.

A guild may mean something different to everyone, after all is nothing more than a collection of people. A collection of people is what you deem it to be however... be it any social organization with purpose, a school, a church, fraternity/sorority...

What you get out of it shall be what you put into it. What you perceive it to be is what you entail the whole to be. While this page off our Fallen Heroes site be in dire need of update the spirit this page encapsulates has never changed.

Our idea is quite simple in a game we play for entertainment and we play with each other, everyone of us, as such we strive to know every one of us. MMO's are not about the flashy graphics nor aquiring the best pixels, the success, the failures more so comes down to who you shre such with. The guild name means nothing more to me than these are my peers, my equals, my friends, I enjoy every heroes company and do wish they feel likewise.

When I look upon the great guilds of Khyber, past, present and come future this is true of near all of them... their health, success and longevity entail but little - the bonds of friendship, both old, present and those to come.

Ok, lets get this straight. It's a "tell" not a "whisper", at least in this game.

They are booted after a week because they are not farming favor, err..., advancing the renown of Epitaph by vanquishing CR 4 foes......

I've had the misfortune of running with some Epitafffs on a TR recently. If it wasn't so painful, it would have been funny.

GL with your guild, whatever its philosophy but I will not be running with you anytime soon.

Even if they have a rule where inactive accounts of extreme low level get removed, then so what? It's no worse than kicking people out of your group for being part of a guild you've deemed "dumb" for no logical reason. If anyone removed wants back into the guild, they're welcome to, provided they left on good terms.

You're claiming that anyone (regardless of factors like being a good player, or a friend of yours) that joins the guild become immediately incapable of playing the game well, moments after they join Epitaph? Doesn't that mean you're subjugating the guild to the same unfair views that you're accusing it of giving others? It seems hypocritical to me at least.

I know it's always fashionable to sling mud at success, but you don't have to discredit yourself to do it.

    EDIT: For clarity.

Cool Death of a thousand paper cuts... or raiding with Epitaph.

They are almost a zerg type guild. That is what you get when you open the door and let everyone and anyone in. Quantity does not make up for quality nor experience. Either you accept what it is and move on, as many have, or you can wallow in it and moan about it on the forums. I personally dislike grouping with most of Epitaph just for the fact they seem to have the type of players I don't want to play with, so I move on most times and my advice to you if you are upset is to do the same. Its not worth the ulcer.

As for the kicking, I understand where they are coming from just for the fact they are an open door guild and that means everyone and their grandmother (Hi grandma!) wants to be in for the amenities and people to chat at. If that means they hit guild player limits, which I didn't know existed, while they have people banging at the door to get in and you aren't going to be there to play while others want to be in the guild then you get booted to make room for others, if needed.

My personal advice and opinion to most players is to NOT join Epitaph just because they have too many new players that think they know what they are doing and make life difficult for others. Go find an established guild (unlike mine) with some long term players (unlike me) and you get to learn something useful while playing.

That is my rant for today. Tune in tomorrow when I show you how to bake a delicious gelatinous berry pie using ingredients you have in the bank!

P.S. No cubes were injured in the making of this post.

    Tingle, Tingle, Kooloo-Limpah!

Come to me, my fairy brothers and sisters! We will dance and cast our magical spell!

    Tingle, Tingle, Kooloo-Limpah!

    Tingle, Tingle, Kooloo-Limpah!

    Tingle, Tingle, Kooloo-Limpah!

Now, brothers and sisters, we have saved Hyrule! Ignore the fellow in the tattered green clothings wielding the bloody sword that just spent the last 9 hours taking down Ganon, he isn't important, what is important is our spell has saved all of Hyrule from Ganon's evil reign!

    Tingle, Tingle, Kooloo-Limpah!

all I have to say is:

If a single person messes up a quest that bad, what does that say about your playing ability?

Remember the little people, if for no other reason than to better savor the squishy sound they make as you roll over them.
