    Default Idea for wands

I purpose making wands and rods rechargeable by Certain NPC for gold. This suggestion is only pertinent for wands that can not be bought as some wands don't need it, like wands of cure light wound, but once in a while you get a wand or even a rod that is nearly impossible to find and it would be nice if it lasted more than a week. I just wondered what the community thought of this.

    Visty's completely right.

    Two cases:

A: Wand that can be bought from vendors:
    Subcases:
1: Recharge price is identical to purchase price. Nothing changes
2: Recharge price is less than purchase price. You have more plat, and your "problem" is worsened
3: Recharge price is greater than purchase price. Everyone simply buys new wands. Nothing changes.

B: Wants that can't be bought (such as resist energy 11 wands)
Could be implemented, but this is similar to above.
1: Recharge price is identical to average purchase price from AH. Nothing changes
2: Recharge price is less than average purchase price from AH. You have more plat, and your "problem" is worsened
3: Recharge price is greater than average purchase price from AH. Everyone simply buys new wands. Nothing changes.
This needs a bit more elaboration, though. If its a rare wand, then its expensive to buy from the AH. Thus, everything works out to be nearly identical anyway. However, then rare wands become like raid loot - once you get it, you're done, and it takes the last bit of fun fun out of random loot drops. So, I say no.

I wasn't suggesting this for wands you can buy easily so this whole first part is irrelevant plus you many ZERO mention of rods. for which this would be quite relevant.

First let me ask you something; Do you actually think that having more plat is a bad thing? you think I was serious about having to much plat? I was joking, you did get that right? How about this, I will go back and edit my main post and remove all sarcasm since it went over your head.

On to the mane point, I don't buy wands from AH and I would much rather pay the recharge values than the exorbitant prices in the AH and I am not just talking about wands, Rods of any kind can not be bought. Would this undercut AH prices for wands yes it would and I contest that would be a very good thing. Bummer, you don't get to gouge noobs any more, welcome to a free market economy.

I've heard this before but instead of plat being used it was soul gems that were used to recharge and even increase wands DC and caster level. Just figured I'd throw that out ther as well.
