    Default query about metamagic feats

My apologies if this has already cropped up in the forum, but do the metamagic feats empower and maximise have any effect of spells such as ennervation, numerical effect spells that do not cause damage? I know this was the case in Pen and Paper DnD 3/3.5, but whether it applies in DDO isn't stated anywhere in the compendium.

each spell states which feat applies to it once you hover over it in your spellbook

Generally speaking, they do not. There used to be a few cases where it did work, I think: such as with contagion. I think that has been changed as well, though.

One way to tell whether your metas are affecting something is to check the spell-point cost. If turning on maximize doesn't change the cost, it does not affect the output.
