I've been playing for maybe a year and a half, and have one capped toon (a monk) on a different server (Yzette on Sarlona). I own all the packs, all races and classes, the expansion, and recently renewed my VIP status. I'm pretty new to Ghallanda, and have a 16th lvl hybrid ranger (12 ranger/6 rogue/2 monk probably) and a 7th lvl monk.
I'm 57 and have been playing D&D (and other PnP RPGs) since 1979, when 2nd ed. was released. I started MMOs with EQ, and also played SWG and WoW. I'm a roleplayer in that my preference is to stay in character as much as possible, but I'm not rigid about it and will go with whatever the group seems to prefer.
I solo a lot, mainly because of my odd hours (I'm West Coast US, GMT -8, but I work nights and weekends, with 4 days off.). I play weekdays and weekday nights mostly, and am often on in the wee hours. I don't like to zerg, but to take my time and find everything the designer built into that dungeon. I am friendly and sociable when I'm with a group.
In EQ, I had an excellent guild, very friendly and cohesive, that lasted many years through several games (including SWG and WoW). I was an officer in it, and several times interim guild leader. It started out as a hardcore RP guild, and gradually evolved into a cool raiding guild with RP flavor. It's still around, but they aren't playing the same games I am right now. Tyrs sounds like it has a lot of the same spirit, and that would be awesome.
I'm Yzychar (the ranger) and Izaelja (the monk) in game.
