Default please make a ps3 DDO

Dear DDO creaters, admins, etc... I would be totally syked if you DDO guys/girls would creat a DDO game for the Ps3 console...(and xbox360) I think that it should have the same basic gameplay as modern DDO, the option to play either online/ or off-line, increase the lvl limit to at least 100 through like 200, keep the headset/microfone ability. I also think if you ask any other DDO player they would agree...

While I'd love to see the increased market saturation that a console version of DDO could bring, I don't think raising the level cap beyond what is standard for D&D (levels 20 or 32, depending on source books and rules you follow) is going to be much good. And taking it offline is going to take away from it being Dungeons & Dragons ONLINE...

But, I think that that ship has sailed. It would require either making the game available for free in the PSN Marketplace or the Xbox Live Market. With the game going the free to play/subscription hybrid with free download, selling a hardcopy for $50-$60 would be completely hypocritical...

I can play this fine using my Xbox360 controller, and since both PS3 and Xbox360 controllers are similar in design, I say maybe Turbine could look at researching DDO:EU for popular gaming consoles(Xbox360, PS3, maybe the Wii, if it can handle it?) just for the heck of it. They might be able to make more of a profit if they do so, and add more players to the server.

The only downside to this is that you cant look around real fast when using a controller, it takes time. Also, it may be difficult to configure the key bindings for this game correctly: on a 360 controller, I wish I had more buttons to do various things. But at least I can play the game with it.

I disagree. Mostly for gameplay reasons. Games with this sort of UI/Gameplay port poorly to consoles IMO. Having 4-8 buttons as opposed to a whole keyboard I can hotkey my 6 bars of stuff too just doesn't work well. Yes you can get mouse and keyboard for a console, but you can also get ways of playing your PC on a HD TV. Look at Dragon Age, waaay better on the PC than console.

    PS3? Xbox360?

    What about the Wii?

Unless you already saw the video, I mean.

But keep in mind this is playing DDO on the computer with a Wii mote.

Well all my fellow DDO players, I can not force you to agree with me and your opinions are your opinions... The reason I would like a console version of DDO made is because: Im not playing on my computer... im playing on my moms computer and my mom runs a website called highdesertsmokeshop.com and she is on the computer from 5:00am till 10:00pm... and within that time spand i would still like to play DDO... (on my ps3, wii, or x360) I am stuck with a low performance toshiba laptop running windows vista (it was built ONLY for xp) so my computer doesn't have the power to play DDO... if they have to decrease game play so be it!!! if anyone doesn't like it they are free to keep playing (pc) DDO... just sayin I'm not trying to be rude... but thank you ALL for the comments. :-)

DDO is coming to a console system very soon! I read a podcast about it a few months ago, I don't remember the platform though, let me try to find the thread. Ah, here it is, with screen shots of the necropolis and Shroud pt 4:

I'm sorry but all games I've seen coverted to console have been Dumbed down because console players complain that the game is to hard to play on a console. So this is a vote of no. For a good reference is Baldor's Gate- PC great Game, Console so easy a 5 year old could play it. Some games are meant for pc and some are meant for console. This one is for pc.

    Angry

Ok I do admit I like the console version of balders gate: dark alience WAAAYYYYY more than the Pc version.... But I usually see no major(ly) horrific diffrences between the two console and pc versions that make them unplayable!!!
I still vote YES!!! to making a console version... I did not make this to be a debate I made this thread So that I could get a chance at playing DDO while the only computer in my entire house is occupied by my MOTHER!!! If I could play DDO while my ma is on the "ONLY" computer in the house... I would but my Ps3 is the "ONLY" system that has the power and the capability to play MMO(s) such as DDO.... Again I wrote this as a "SUGGESTION!!!!" NOT a debate!!!!
So PLEASE stop tying to knokk me off my horse!!! (put me down, make me regret posting.)

Sorry kid, you can get angry, but you post on a public forum, and you are going to end up in a debate. Welcome to the internet.

Dark Alliance. Wow, talk about a failed game, then they failed even more with the sequel. Not a good point.

a mmo for consoles needs to be just for consoles otherwise there is a potenial of limitations, and I use a controler for ddo sometimes but still need my mouse and keyboard faily often.

You know what you do in BG: Dark Alliance? You hit one button to attack and maybe four more buttons to use your skills.

You know how many buttons you need to be able to hit to function successfully as a caster in DDO? I have five hotbars before I even get to my gear bars.

Unless an MMO is from-the-start designed to be played on a console (FFXI, which is menu-based and suffers nothing from swapping to keyboard from the controller as far as gameplay goes) it will NOT translate fully.

Some people use things like an Xbox 360 controller, but that only really works for melee characters.

I can't help you don't own your own computer that's not my problem. Another example is MechWarrior for the pc. When they made it for console and called it MechAssault they dumbed it down so much that no MechWarrior player bought it. Yes I know that people play this game with controllers. But you are very limited in what a controller can do. This is a pc game not a console game. And as response to your suggestion. NO. This game is fine the way it is. I don't know how old you are but if you can't go buy you a computer put one on your christmas or Birthday list. And like it or not it has turned into a debate.

The first one on pc was a good game. the second one sucked. I played the one on console never finished it because it sucked. I traded it in on a racing game instead.

sorry for getting angry....(ive got a short fuse). but you all realize that you have an option: if one does come out you "DONT" have to buy it... Me, I would be one of the few who would buy it. but people with a low IQ like me would enjoy the dumbness of the console version... yes admit i am not a genius!!! Again YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY IT!!!!!
