Default DDO EXPing and Powerleveling Tool

Alright, so me and Yargore has made another Openoffice spreadsheet tool for the community.
This one is a spreadsheet including some of the best experience quests in the game, and some quests that you run for flag.

    Features
    1) Allows the user to see how long it will take to reach the cap

    2) Perfect tool to use when you do not know an exact path to level, to reach 20 in the fastest time

    3) Can manually insert time numbers, experience bonuses, such as exp potions and conquest, and many other things, just to get out exactly how it will go for you in your level.

    4) The numbers are set to the leveling path me and Yar most often runs, and the times are set at an approximate of our DUO speed.

    5) Includes a level checker, to show the user what level he will be after certain quests

    6) allows the user to manually set how many times he runs a specific quest on normal, as well as a hard and elite checker.

    7) Includes optional exp, which the user can edit if they play for more optionals, it's specificaly set at average and the ones me and Yar run in the different quests.

    8) Veteran mode, normal, TR 1, and TR 2 are all options available, so you can see what level you will be with certain TRs

    9) And probably some more features I've forgotten to mention

It's not perfect, some of the exp is not accounted for, specifically if you tend to run more elite runs and less normal runs in your farming. However it do give you a very good approximation.

More quests will be added in the future so it's possible to diverse more, and find your own route of leveling.

So... I think you need to go over your math again. I went through the quest counts and increase them all by 2 and made some of the 0 runs into 3 runs to see how it would effect a TR 2 toon.. well, apparently running quests MORE gives you less overall XP according to your math.

It seems to effect any number greater then 8, for instance increasing a run count from 8 to 9 seems to reduce the total xp given.

Also of note is the sad state of being a TR. According to your spreadsheet, if you were to run every quest on it 8 times on normal and once on hard you STLL wouldn't be level 20 as a TR 2, you have have to run virtually half of them on elite as well to hit cap.

This is why I haven't been able to log on for more then 10 minutes in over 2 weeks, **** turbine and their ******** TR xp penalty.

Yea, set the max at 8 runs on normal, as that's the ones that really benefit you. So sets at 0 exp after that from the normal ones, that's why that happens.

And yea, you can't hit level 20 with a TR 2 in those quests alone, that's why I'll be adding more good quests in further updates.

You might get cleaner and more accurate numbers (as well as the ability to use numbers instead of "Yes" or "No" for Hard and Elite) if you use a quest's EXPStep for determining EXP instead of just the Base EXP on normal. The Total EXP should also make sure it is rounding down for each quest run, which would eliminate your decimals in the way DDO does.

Ah, nice. Will get that implemented for the next version.

New version of the leveling tool out now, a lot better optimized now, and includes more choices in quests as well as more accurate Total exp gained, and you can now chose more than 1 hard / elite run

Special thanks to MrCow for the link above.

    Its a great leveling guide!
I'm still trying to figure out how you run some of them 8 times. Like "Thrall of the Necromancer". You can't reset that stage without resetting the entire Delera's chain. Unless I'm missing something?!

Really basic question here, how would I go about changing it to the TR1 version? I can toggle the Vet mode but that seems to do all of nothing for me.

I haven't designed a path for TR1 / TR 2, so that's up to you. But if you check the levels, you'll see what level you will be in each TR, so that way you can easily design a path that you like.

I just downloaded, using MS Office '07, none of the formulas are in the file. Not sure if you aware of this.

Awesome doing this by the way.

If you're running with a static party and someone has an alt character at level: one person can log out, log on to the new character who is still flagged for the quest, join the party, open the quest, log out, and jump back on the character they're leveling and hop into the quest.

If someone has time and you're soloing, you can probably just have a buddy open it for you aswell.

Nice tool, although I've just spent most of the time looking at which quests you repeat a lot. In that respect, might be nice to set up the sequence how you like to do TR2, which is the most challenging given you start to squeeze out high level quest xp - either as a drop down (column selector) or another worksheet.

Should work with this .xls converter.

Yea, gonna add more quests and set up the TR 1 and TR 2 leveling paths as well in the future. But as for now, it's up to the user to find their own path for those, and maybe throw in some more quests.

Try it with Open office and it should work just fine. Or you can use the .xls converter I posted in this post.

When I get some free time I'll add in ranged combat into the dps calculator, and then release the 2.0 version, along with an easy way to do charts based on the calculations.
