Default House K guild renown discount brokers

    To: Turbine

The potions do not stack with existing potions - and cannot be mailed!

The divine reagents are bound to character ... I guess it was pretty dumb of me to use my haggle bot to buy some stuff for my Favored Soul - a simple practice I have been following for ... oh 4 years !

This whole guild renown discount sounded like a nice idea until I discovered how it was implemented.

Why do the potions not stack? You cant seriously think that people were not already sometimes asking hagglebots to buy stuff for them??

I cannot think of a single good reason divine reagents are bound to character? What is the rationale?

    Disappointed,
    Hal

And I can't sell any of it!

And the scrolls are bound to character too!

    Why?

Yep pretty dumb and the components don't even work you think someone might have though to test that. I assume they are BTC so you can't buy them on a character in a qualifying guild and transfer to one who isn't but the whole system is kind of silly.

And the Divine and Arcane spell components don't even work.

If you have 999 Discount Hearts of Hens, you still can't cast a Wall of Fire unless you have some non-discounted level 4 spell components in your backpack at the same time.

I'm not quite sure what I'm agreeing too, but if I say much else I'll...
Well I suppose there's a small chance I'd regret it. Very small. Minuscule.

And the reason the scrolls binding really bothers me is ... let's suppose you are in a RAID and someone runs out of heal scrolls (reconstruct - whatever) ... and you think, "Well I have a stack, I can give some to him and then we ALL WIN TOGETHER AS A TEAM! Not so fast mister team player. Not good, not good.

It's BtC because it's so hard to join a Guild with appropriate level and buy them, that it's a penalty to be in a guild and buy non stacking items.

Not sure of the solution, as if a high haggle person in a guild buys them and then tried to offload them at a higher price then it could be exploited. But in it's current form it's useless.

Not withstand the fact you can't use them ... well that's just plain pathetic!

Whistles for a patch ... my kingdom for a patch ... oh but one that actually fixes more than it breaks.

The divine vendor also lacks Ranger components.

    +1 for you.

Another reason why, when my husband and wife guild hit the level to get discounted components, I said "meh".

Wish I read this before using my bard to buy 500 pouches of Granite and Diamond Dust. Kinda makes sense that I would not be able to sell them for more than i paid for them..........but not being able to put them in my own bank to be taken out by my own Sorc? The only thing worse than losing the 10000+plat was not having any kind of warning about it. There is nothing in the release notes that warns of this. I cant even sell them back to the guy i bought them from at a fraction of the price.

At a whopping 15% discount this feature is absolutely worthless to any guild that has even a vaguely competent hagglebard.

So far update 5 has cost me 600k gold, between buying these, and not knowing about the change in pricing on day one and buying a really cool sword....worth 50k gold......for 50kplat. That might not be alot of plat for some....but it is a considerable chunk of change for me.

This is frustrating to somone who often reads the forums to keep up on news and issues. I could only imagine how bad it could be for people who don't. Hopefully this is an oversight, and will be patched soon. Right now I have 500 pouches of dust that i can do absolutely nothing with.

Well Turbine claims to not know about the DDO spell components from guild vendor not be detected in inventory when casting a Spell.

I bought tons of Level V and cannot cast any spells with them. So I had to buy the old components.

as a VIP you'd think somone would talk to me in game about my ticket rather than just close my ticket with a comment telling me to submit a bug.

They should have giving me the componets. PS the Pricing in the DDO store for spell components is way too high.

    Default I wonder as I ...

Go back and forth from this game and "other" MMO's I shall not name here in the sacred halls of DDO

if this game will ever "get it" every update is full of bugs and every patch is full of more bugs - like posted here madstone is finally fixed again after how long? Like 8 patches and updates?

It is sad, this game has so much potential handed to it by those who are no longer with us.

Sometimes I feel that turbine is just cashing in on that rep and I hope those families make something from it!

Of course that is obvious when the P2P mechanic did not work for them and they had to go F2P to survive.

Sorry folks but not loggin in for a bit and back to uhhumm those "other" MMO's were the bugs are fixed in weeks not years and the updates come everyother month and add a new world not a redesign of the same content.

Sorry I do like DDO and the quest mechanic I just do not like lazy programing.

I thought these were BtA not BtC. I bought some wands and pots for my lowbie and used the shared bank to transfer them. Annoying thing is the pots don't seem to work on allies. A guildie had mummy rot and I removed disease and removed curse him and it only went back to hit me.

One nice thing about the discount potions is that you can only use them on yourself and cannot use them on other players. Why is this good?

Because of the odd way that DDO determines what a Raged/Madstoned character can and cannot use from the list of available potions, Barbarians in a Rage and anyone under a Madstone effect cannot remove their own curses.

If they pick up the guild-discount potions, though, then they CAN remove their own curses with those guild-discount Remove Curse potions.

Well I submitted a bug report back on the 6th July with screenshots and details.

So who at Turbine has recently said that they do not know of it?
