    Default Build Critique

To preface this, I'm not quite sure what I'm doing, but I thought I'd try this out, I'm completely open to criticism and suggestions. Thanks.

    1. Max Strength
    2. Drop Dex to 15
    3. Drop WF DR, it deosnt stack with Barb DR
    4. Critical Rage is a Prestige enhancement that is no longer available
    5. You are missing the Frenzied berserker Prestige line which will result in a large drop in damage
    6. Drop barbarian jump I
    7. Imo take another level of healer's friend

If your looking for a TWF Barb build:

    General Stuffs:

-You can't afford a +1 dex tome? You could drop dex to 16 and up Str to 18, and use a tome to hit the 17 requirement for TWF. Even better if you've got a +2 tome lying around... if you don't, you might want to reconsider the whole TWF thing.
-Jump is great, but 30? It caps at 40 and casters can buff you for +30... And you're going to rage yourself another +6 and get +3 through a Str item and +3 through frenzy... I don't think a single skill point is necessary unless you're going for a self-sufficient type, but it's entirely up to you. Intimidate is always appreciated, of course, and haggle will help you afford that dex tome
-You don't have the frenzied berzerker PrE. What? You need. Now.

    Feats:

    -Two Weapon Fighting
    -Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Khopesh
    -Improved Two Weapon Fighting
    -Oversized Two Weapon Fighting
    -Greater Two Weapon Fighting
    -Improved Critical: Slashing Weapons
    -Power Attack

Improved Critical should be taken as soon as you can get it (level 9); it's a big boost, especially to Khopeshes. OTWF is not particularly necessary as barbarians don't usually have a problem hitting things. Power Attack should be taken as early as possible in conjunction with Cleave in order to qualify for the Frenzied Berzerker PrE. It gives you +3 critical multiplier on rolls of 19-20, +6d6 extra damage, and +6 strength, which is pretty great when you consider the only thing you really end up paying is a feat and 10 AP (cleave and Barb Damage Boost); everything else you should take anyways.

Problem is, you're short a or two feat. You ideally want toughness, stunning blow, and cleave thrown in there and you can afford to give up O***. Missing both stunning blow and toughness is a pretty big loss when you consider that dwarven axes are not that far behind khopeshes (so making a dwarven d-axe user saves you EWP: Khopesh) and humans get an extra feat and lose out on +2 damage and -2 to hit (since you've only got warforged power attack II).

My ideal would be, depending on race,

human - EWP: Khopesh (or Toughness/Stunning blow)
    lvl 1 - TWF
lvl 3 - EWP: Khopesh (or Toughness/Stunning blow)
    lvl 6 - Power Attack
    lvl 9 - Improved Critical
    lvl 12 - Cleave
    lvl 15 - ITWF
    lvl 18 - GTWF

    Enhancements:

Warforged Damage Reduction I Doesn't stack with barbarian DR, so ditch it
    Warforged Healer's Friend I
    Barbarian Improved Damage Reduction I
    Barbarian Sprint Boost I
    Warforged Constitution II
Barbarian Damage Reduction Boost I Not particularly important, IMO
Barbarian Constitution III That's a lot of Con enhancements that could be better spent increasing HP via toughness enhancements, if only you had the feats
    Barbarian Extend Rage IV
Barbarian Critical Rage II This was removed as an option for newly created characters but still exists as an option for older barbs, so you can't take this.
Barbarian Extra Rage III That might be more than you need
Barbarian Hardy Rage III IMO not worth going so far, when you consider all the AP you've already spent on +con, that's 24 for +8 Con (or +80 hp), pretty weak. Toughness enhancements can get you +80 hp for 20 AP.
Barbarian Power Rage III Get to tier 4, its what you hit and damage things with :P
Barbarian Damage Boost IV [color=green]normally ****, but needed for the PrE
    Warforged Power Attack II
    Barbarian Power Attack III
Barbarian Jump I Waste of AP, really

For Frenzied Berzerker II, you need the enhancements Damage Boost III, Power Attack II, and Power Rage II, along with the feats Power Attack and Cleave (you need IV, III, and III respectively for FB 3, arguably the most important). Get those all by level 12 and take Frenzied Berzerker I and II at around that level, then FB3 at 18. What about the capstone? It's bugged, but 2 AP for +2 strength is still better that pretty much anything else short of Prestige Enhancements.

    Personally, I would go:

    Barbarian Frenzied Berzerker III (8)
    Barbarian Power Rage IV (10)
    Barbarian Damage Boost IV (10)
    Barbarian Power Attack III (6)
    Barbarian Hardy Rage II (3)
    Barbarian Extend Rage III (6)
    Barbarian Extra Rage II (3)
    Barbarian Constitution I (2)
    Barbarian Sprint Boost I (1)
Barbarian Improved Damage Reduction I (2)
    (possibly) Barbarian Toughness II (3)
    Barbarian Might (2)
    = 53-56 AP

    and then:

    Warforged Constitution I (2)
    Warforged Power Attack III (6)
    Warforged Healer's Friend I (2)
    (possibly) Warforged Toughness II (3)
    = 10-13 AP

    Dwarven Constitution I (2)
    Dwarven Axe Attack I (2)
    Dwarven Axe Damage I (2)
    (possibly) Dwarven Toughness II (3)
    = 6-9 AP

    Human Improved Recovery I (2)
    Human Adaptability I: Strength (2)
    = 4 AP

Then the rest is up to you.

I really appreciate the feedback and the knowledge. Like I said, I really don't know what I'm doing here when it comes to builds (and the fact that if I don't take the right feats/enh's - I can't SEE what other things I'm missing out on).

I was looking at this thread:
    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=259651

Would it make sense to grab 2 levels of fighter to grab some extra feats?
Want to remain guildless or solo, but still want to take advantage of the guild renown system?

Barbarians are sustained DPS and in short fights will be clowned by a Fighter, however by taking two Fighter levels you gain 5 haste boosts and 2 feats. You can increase your burst DPS by ~20 DPS while still maintaining the same sustained DPS due to quickdraw. Although this will not match a Fighter it will bring you very close while having barely any negative effects on the build (loss of 24 HP and +2 willsave).

The second feat can be spent on toughness for extra HP, stunning blow for epic trash, OTWF for extra to hit or a past life feat for TRs.

First off, many thanks for your help (I finally inderstand how PrE's work), I took into consideration what I want to accomplish with this toon, and tried again with the character planner. (As for the Dex Tome, I don't want to blow it on a veteran test character just yet). I focused on getting Barbarian Frenzied Berserker as early as possible, and towards the end of my leveling I start to focus on CON, Toughness and HPs. Also wanted khopesh and the full TWF line.

    How does this look?

Again critical rage cannot be selected anymore, you will have to drop it.

    Quickdraw > Weapon Focus

Drop Fighter critical accuracy, there is no damage bonus from it, just a bonus to confirm crits which is useless.
