I've seen a better ratio than that for the 500/1000 ones. It may be just a matter of some characters pull better than others, even on the same account.

For myself I think the split for 50/150/500/1000 would be about 40/40/15/5. YMMV

I just don't think that the system in its current state will last.

The decay rate, as described by Dark (thanks for posting btw +1), may be doable but certainly doesn't seem reasonable.

I'm curious to when exactly the decay is calculated (like 1pm EST for example). If it is a particular time everyday, what happens if like 10 accounts worth of characters get dumped, let the decay occur and reinvite?

I personally don't like this system. Don't get me wrong, I like the thought behind it but the implementation sucks.

It might just be the random number god at work, but I think the 1000's/500's are much more common in the upper-level raids. Was shrouding the other day and across 5 or 6 runs I pulled 4 of the 1000's, 2 or 3 500's and a mess of 150's/50's. I'm actually starting to think the higher level stuff is better for renown that low-level chest filled stuff- did the issue with all the lowbie stuff being better for renown get fixed while I wasn't looking or something?

I have the strong feeling that it also depends on lvl of toons vs. level of quest. I rolled a new toon yesterday, got no renown on the first quests. Then I started to play them on hard despite being lvl 1 myself and suddenly there was renown in each, 50 or 150.

Has anyone anywhere posted how long an account has to be idle for it to be considered inactive by Turbine? Would be nice to figure numbers out if I knew exactly the time lines I have to work with. 1 month? 3 months? 1 week?

Never. All accounts, even inactive ones, count in guild size for decay and small guild bonuses.

In another thread a dev said they wanted to do it by active accounts but they found it too complicated so they made it all accounts. Some guilds are booting inactive players because of this.

All guild XP bonus calculations are based on the number of accounts in your guild in the game.

Web services such as MyDDO and the Leaderboards pull data from a separate database and may not report accurate results.
