Wanderlust is a guild recently formed with a small group of core players who play on a daily basis. We run high level raid/epics/quests and would like to find like minded, fun players who are interested in doing the same.

Our playtime is usually Australian Night/European Daytime as most of our players are based in that region. We are interested in running high level raids/epic/quests and are looking for level 20's who also have that same interest. We don't plan on being a big guild, just a guild that is self-sufficient at running high end content whilst enjoying the game at this level.

I wrote this thread when I first formed wanderlust a LOOONG time ago, and not a single person replied or showed any interest. Oh well .... not a huge lost :P Fast-forward to where we are now, and I can proudly say that wanderlust will be achieving everything we have set out to do very soon. Thus, once we hit level 80 sometime this week, I think its time I expanded the guild somewhat as alot of our players are now part-time / casual ddo players.

Everything that I wrote in the first post is still relevant, but some stuff to consider -

- I'm generally looking to expand the guild with maybe 5-6 ACTIVE players and become a medium guild once we hit level 80. The type of players I'm looking for are those that have sound knowledge of the game and are respectively well geared (don't need to be epic geared, but enough to run high end raid/epics without being a burden). Above all, people who can get along with everyone in the guild (we are a small guild, so this is important) and respect other guildies are the type I think will fit in nicely with us bunch.

- Most of the players are australian/european and some are from u.s. Our main playtime used to be around 9pm AUS time (roughly very early morning u.s/afternoon euro) but these days as most of our players are leading double-lives it is anything goes. We used to run raids/epics religiously but the interest has died down somewhat but thats not to say it wont happen again. So in keeping the guild active, I am looking for players who will benefit in the 'longterm'.

- If anyone thinks we are renown farmers, please read the first post that is dated back in July 2010, 2 weeks after guild levels was introduced. We just had the luxury of being very very active for a long time and also small guild renown bonus, along with those weeks where the bonus was doubled at times. We are CASUAL HARDCORE players, renown will not be a priority once we hit 80, the priority will be expanding the guild with good players that have the interest of doing epic/raids (maybe even lead them) and above all, just to have fun with a bunch of weirdos and misfits.

Yea didn't know about your guild at all tell recently since you guys basically built up when I wasn't playing.

Good luck on getting some new members Gene, I know what it is like recruiting and looking for the right person that will fit in.

I know on the outside Wanderlust look hardcore, but I remember a few times going into Epic Wiz King with just me and Gene, and seeing how far we could make it in the hunt for scrolls and seals. We would die 2-3 times each and then res the other or DD back to the entry shrines. Good times.

I have to say though, you guys have one of the best players in Arvexus to fill a healing bard role in raids

Actually I thought you guys were renown farmers until I saw Faf running around with the guild tag. Way too hardcore for me but I can't imagine the fail rate is high.

Oh yeah, I get that. I'd heard of a few guilds that just wanted renown and placed Wanderlust in that group for a while. (and to be clear I don't think that now, these guys are pretty good)

And yes doing mostly nothing but epics does grant a lot of renown. Don't worry we are not too far behind you.

While the renown is handy - access to all the altars, +2 stat and +4% XP shines is very nice - most of us were more interested in end game gear.

At our peak, a core 7-10 of us where running nightly running TOD, eVON, eDQ, etc. At a 3.5x boost 5-15k renown per night per player was pretty easy.

When the renown decay got fixed it obviously has been easier for us to move to the top of the leader board.

I just have this thing to say... "Don't let 'Rivvy' make groups! She makes them 'special type of group' that makes you implant rows of keys into your skull." We even have a nickname for them... saddly I can't say that on the forums anymore hehe.
