Default Loss rate and connection problem

I just recently downloaded and installed DDO and reactivated my subscription. On playing the game, I can get through character creation just fine. However, no matter which server I create a character on, I have to wait around 3 minutes to be able to move my character in any direction, and from there I've only been able to make it to halfway up the trail before I continually freeze in one place, hit barrels/boxes and nothing happens, etc.

I've tried every combination I can think of in terms of firewall settings, even turning off the firewall for both my McAfee (no Windows firewall running) and my Netgear wireless router (basically allowed all inbound connections on all ports to come through) and nothing improves.

My Loss stays consistently between 25-30%.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running Windows 7, and I don't believe this is a hardware issue as my processor, ram, and vid cards are pretty fancy pants

Try the steps here and the connection related ones here but if its ongoing definitely also follow up by putting in a tech support request as well if you haven't.

NOTE: The Customer Support forums are best for Player-to-Player help, for more direct and official support, please submit a ticket to the appropriate team via the form here.

Be sure to check Spam/Junk Mail folders as well since most email providers do not let external email programs or cell phones download mail flagged this way.
