Leveling question

Is there any benefit to leveling a fighter from level 4 to 5 besides hitpoints/skill points?

I'm considering just running at 4 until I at least get all the level 3 stuff favored out.

I assume I will still accumulate action points even if I can't use them (they're going to Kensai anyway)?

The main benefit is +1 to hit and barkskin / sof potions, for +6 ac and +1 to hit.

Nothing really essensial, depending on how you farm exp and what quests you go for, it might be beneficial to wait iwth the level.
