Default End-game Equips for WF Fighter

I'm looking for some advice as to what type of HP item to craft on my warforged Kensei III fighter Krythan. I had an air/air/air gs, but I knew I could do better. For the most part my gear is set since I now have my Frenzy and Shintoa rings .

    Current layout:
    Head: Minos
    Goggles: Tharne's
    Necklace: Shintoa
Docent: DT: Healing 10%, Crushing Wave, Earthen Guard
    Bracers: Levicks
    Ring: Shintoa
    Ring: Frenzy
    Boots: Madstone
    Gloves: Spectral Gloves or Titan's
    Belt: Frenzy
    Cloak: Greensteel HP item
    Trinket: Bloodstone

As for greensteel item: price or large ingredients aren't an issue

    Possible ideas:
    EDIT: Added earthgrab

    Mineral II:
Good: +durability, and stoneskin clicky (though I could just make a tier II)
Not useful: I have no AC, so prot +5 isn't that useful, and Heavy Fort is already on Minos

    Concord Opp:
Good: 4% chance to proc temp HP. With minimal AC, and very low DR (compared to a barbarian) this could be useful
Not useful: sp proc doesn't do anything for me, +6 wisdom is already on Shintao ring

    Lighting Strike:
Very nice guard... though I have Tharne's so I try not to grab aggro unless I'm the only tank - as a result, it wouldn't go off much.

    Disintegration Guard:
Same as Lightning Strike - good guard... though questionable if proc would go off enough to be worth it.

    Radiance Guard:
    Good: Decent chance, small damage
Not Useful: maybe not appropriate for a melee, and blinded mobs are kinda annoying.

    Earthgrab
Earthgrab 5%? DC 35 hold monster.
2x Summon Dense Stone Earth Elemental

What is your 2cp? What type of GS hp item should I craft for Krythan?

    IMO:

    Change
helm: Epic red draogn helmet (+1 more str, some guards, and +4 res in the slot)
CLoak: air air air (+45 hp)
Bracers: kundarak with heavy fort in the slot until U6, when you use Epic bracers of the claw
Gloves: Epic gloves of the claw, when released
Armor: go with salt guard at tier 2, better than crushing, and go with radiance at tier 3
    Belt: ravager
    Ring: ravager

(ravager is 2d6 per hit, = 7 dmg, fb is 2 dmg, total dps increase is higher with ravager than with fb, unless it's a undead / construct)

    Finally looking like this:

    Items
Armor - Dragontouched: 10% healing amp, corrosive salt guard, Radience Guard
Bracers - Epic bracers of the claw: heavy fort, +6 con, GFL
Ring - Shintao ring: +6 Wis, +1 Str, +20% healing
Boots - Madstone boots: 20% striding, madstone effect
Gloves - Epic gloves of the Claw: +6 strength, 30% healing amp, +4 damage bonus from set
Ring - Ravager ring: 6 str, +1 str, +2 str
Belt - Ravager belt: +2 seeker, +6 con
Cloak - Shroud crafted: +45 hp, haste clicky, +6 dex skills, air guard
Trinket - Epic bloodstone: +8 seeker
    Necklace - Shintao: +6 con +15 concentration
Helmet - Epic red dragon helmet: +4 res, magma surge guard, fire shield (fire), +7 str
Goggles - Tharnes goggles: +5 SA, true seeing, +15 search, +15 spot.

Ok. great gear layout, but your greensteel: Why triple air, and why did you choose minII?

Ops, haven't updated that list (copied it from my text document) it's supposed to be air air air.
    Editing the previous post.

    Triple air because it's
    1. cheap
    2. haste clicky is sweet
    3. air guard is also sweet.

All you really do it for is the hp, and imo air guard is one of the better guards to make it into.

Lol. well: Krythan already has an air hp gs, but I know I can do better.

My rogue has been wearing a triple air CHA skills cloak for over a year now - and the proc from air guard is disappointing.

As for greensteel item: price or large ingredients aren't an issue

Then I suggest radiance guard, as it's the only really good guard out there.

    For cheap guards I like:
tripple air for haste and knock-down
tripple earth for earth grab guard (auto-crit mobs are great)
tripple water for crushing wave guard (decent damage and seems to proc quite a bit) the Panacea clicky is pretty useful.

For expensive guards I steam since it's un-typed damage and procs a decent amount. Radiance IMO isn't very useful as the mobs run around and I don't want to chase them. Disintegration is pretty nice, but doesn't seem to proc very often. Freezing Ice is pretty hot, but you can pretty much get the same effect with tripple earth at a fraction of the cost.

Mineral II is also a decent choice as it gives you heavy fort freeing up your helm slot for something better.

Those gloves and bracers of the claw made me drool a little bit. Very hot items!!! Good call on the ravenger set over the encrusted set, much better bang for the buck.

Why would u be worried about being cheap on that current set? Assuming that u got that gear, larges is the least thing you are worried about.
Would go either lightning or disintegration guard + 45hp.
You can always craft a haste clickie / +6 cha skills items later on if u really want the clickie..
I personally find air guard useless end game..

Well, for me for example, I have got most of hte listed items, but still haven't even begun crafting my cloak - as I just started here in US I don't have that many larges, and it's time-based on how many chars you have, and I only really have 2 chars I shroud with, and both need weapons(s) and item(s) crafted from shroud.

Cost aside, I'd go with radiance guard, hands down, nothing like having the epic mobs miss 50% of their hits.

freezing ice guard is a good pick as well, better than e-grab as it last about twice as long, though a small benefit for a large cost. (pun intended)

    Radiance Guard (fire/positive/fire+positive, sovereign)
    * deals 4d6 of light damage and may cause Blindness to attacker (DDOwiki contributer)
    * on-being-hit chance to deal 4d6 light damage and blind the target (EU thread)
    * is Blindness always (when proc'd) or is it chance to it?
    * every 5 hits or so (Roman)
    * 23 out of 160 (being-)hit, 15% chance (Chibi, Japanese server)

    so ~15%+ chance to proc
    4d6 light damage
do you know if the blindness has a save? or is it like radiance weapons?

No save, proc rate around 15-25% ish, as in very often. The damage is meh, but still works on everything so it's something.

Works just like a radiance weapon, except that it's a % proc, instead of crits and it's when hit, instead of on hit.

I don't see the problem in this, I never have any problems with it. You just have to move, you'll be twitching with THF anyways, and with twf you most likely have spring attack.

Besides, more often than not, there are more than 3 enemies, having 2 blinded and one stunned is just perfect imo.

ok, It's been narrowed down to:
    • Conc Opp
    • Radiance Guard
    • Earthgrab Guard

    what's your vote?

EDIT: I'm thinkin of goin Earthgrab guard. I'll save the extra larges that I would of spent on a dual supreme shard, on another Greensteel Khopesh

My vote would be earthgrab guard as I really don't like radiance guard; different strokes for different folks, but chasing down stuff really sucks. I guess it's a matter of playstyle, not dissing Absolute's opinion, just not for me. Earthgrab is also very cheap, maybe not as good as freezing ice, but a heck of a lot cheaper for virtually the same effect. Being cheap is also nice if Turbine comes out with some new item that fits in your green steel spot you won't struggle so much with tossing it out to make a new one. I'm speaking from experience here as I made most of my original GS items on my belt slot prior to TOD and am now having to re-craft a lot of gear.

Yup. I got a earthgrab cloak now. Goes off occasionally - probly grabs a few enemies every quest.... the extra damage I do on auto-crit enemies exceeds any damage guard.

Also, my pet earth ellies are fun!

I'm liking it. Good call Perma!
