Default Is AA Better Then Tempest(now)?

Well, now with the recent nerf to tempest... the difference between a Tempest using melee and a AA using melee is 20% offhand proc, and 5% mainhand proc for tempest 3, while a AA has slaying arrows(and free returning arrows).

Taking into account the 20 seconds of manyshot+slaying arrows(which tempest can also do, which is currently more DPS then their weapons aswell). Who do you think has the higher DPS.(maybe even a number crunch...)

I'll wait for one of the ubber-number crunchers to confirm, but to me it looks about even as long as you remember when to put down the bow. This doesn't account for hitting multiple targets with IPS, that puts AA ahead. I'm TRing my elf into a 12/7/1 for this reason. Ranger 12/Rogue 7/Monk 1 will have almost the same melee DPS as my 18/1/1 do to 31 points of average sneak-attack, add in 500 point manyshot arrows and she'll have great ranged as well.

AA's lost 20% off-hand attacks, Tempest lost a hell of a lot more.

Exactly, that was my point, since tempest lost a TON of dps compared to AA(which lost basically none). They are either going to be very close that AA is viable compared to tempest without being gimp melee dps now, or it will be better then tempest.

110/105 verssus 105/86 average main/offhand attacks per minute.

With 30 STR and Raid buffage, all things being equal I get the Tempest III a 324 DPS and the GTWF (which an Arcane Archer is) at 289 DPS. About a 30 DPS difference when fighting in melee. It used to be about a 70 DPS difference.
