My UMD skill should allow me to equip Minimum Guild level loot. The required minimum guild level should be the UMD score needed.

or how bout only make the guild augment have a min guild lvl.
Honestly, I agree with the spirit of your idea but...
Doesn't that remove the point of the guild level?
Now its people in guilds with high renown and also rogues, bards, sorc, multis and tons of other toons.
Honestly, I prefer concept of the person who put up the idea of being able to have the choice of them dropping
(like you can turn off class effecting your loot)
Although your idea would be easier to implement so that would be a big advantage.
Hmmmmm.
BONGO FURY - Ghallanda - Thingfish - Wizard, Diuni - Ninja, Gheale - Angel, Dullknife - Tank, Noodlefish - Gimp, Jaquaby - Treacherous and other gimps.
THIS!
If i find a haggle +15 item, i wanna use it, darnnit! If its got a minimum guild level 45, then I'm completely out of luck.
It should be changed so that the minimum guild level restriction is only enforced *after* an item has been tossed in the stone of change with the augment crystal. And to prevent people from spending money on items they later find out they cannot use, augment crystals should only be purchasable by players of appropriate guild rank, and should be bind-on-aquire.
Lastly, can we get a stone of change next to the vendors? Running from K to market and then to the quest is a bit of a hassle (unless tehre is one in K, close to vendors, that i missed?)
Making them UMD-able does defeat the purpose. However, we should be able to turn off guild loot. I'm getting stuff I'll never be able to use. I'm getting the feeling that Turbine is forcing us to become guilded. I hate not having a choice. I choose to mostly pug, being a semi-casual player. I like meeting new people and thereby having different experiences. I rarely solo. All this "guild only" loot is a drag. Give us back a choice.
As far as I can tell the only developer-stated purpose for minimum guild level requirements "is simply to promote the notion of guilds offering benefits to players." Guilds would still offer a tangible benefit - the character would not need UMD. It is also a developer's position that guild level restrictions are comparable to race restrictions - and as we are all aware, UMD already applies to race restrictions. Given these two points, it is hard to understand why UMD does not already defeat minimum guild level restrictions.Originally Posted by phillymiket
I also feel making guild level loot UMDable defeats the purpose, but I absolutely agree there should be an option to turn off guild level loot popping from things.

We "might" be able to equip MGL gear soon.
Want to remain guildless or solo, but still want to take advantage of the guild renown system?
