    Default Seige Mage

So far, im level 16, so please keep that in mind.
The primary design of this is a melee mage, with primary focus on the melee and back up spellcasting (FoD, FW, etc if needed)

    Wiz14/Fighter2 (stats w/ buffs up)
    Str 27
    Dex 18
    Con 18
    Int 34
    Wis 16
    Chr 16
    HP 232 + 52 temp hp
    AC 41
+37/+34 attack (main hand +4 true law bastard sword of pure good, off hand +2 Holy bastard sword of improved destruction)
Armor is +4 Twilight Mithril Full Plate (with enhancements Spell failure of 5%)
Items are lots of random +stat boosting gear, or perma water breathing/feather fall.
    Fort +24
    Ref +21
    Will +22

Buffs used are Shield/nightshield expeditious retreat, detect secret door, blur, rage, protection from evil, haste, stoneskin, blue/red fire shields, Tenser's Transformation (if i dont need to worry about back up casting)

So any tips for changes or levels i should take? i know there are not many usefull 8th level spells for my build, and I have no idea if there are any usefull 9th level spells except perhaps Wail or meteor. If possible i can go 16 wiz/4 fighter, or 17 wiz/2 fighter/1 rogue for the trapmonkey. Any ideas would be usefull ;D.

    What race?

Thats a little low, try to buff it up.

TWF on a wizzie isn't always a good idea, especially with bastard swords. Better to run a Falchion THF and save the feats. If you are positive you want to TWF, Scimitars and Rapiers are superior to Bastard swords and do not require a feat burn.

Otto's Irresistable Dance and Polar Ray are both spectacular, no save spells. You'll have a hard time with Otto's SR checks, due to the fighter levels, but take the feat lines in Spell Resistance and you should be ok. Polar ray is a bread and butter damage spell.

and I have no idea if there are any usefull 9th level spells except perhaps Wail or meteor.
Hold Monster Mass is also spectacular but, once again, SR issues will pop up.
If possible i can go 16 wiz/4 fighter, or 17 wiz/2 fighter/1 rogue for the trapmonkey. Any ideas would be usefull ;D.
18Wiz/2 Fighter and stay there. Too late for rogue levels - rogue splash level taken at first or not taken at all. Too more levels of fighter won't get you enough to compensate for the loss of spells and SP.

As for the feats, already burned them xD (both on twf, improved twf, oversized twf, and bastard sword prof)

My damage spells so far are Firewall, Ball Lightning, and Disintigrate.

Thanks for the helpfull reply ;D

Meleeing on a caster build is like licking a window. You can lick all you want, but you're still ********.

The primary reason is the low BAB given to casters. 10 BAB loss is essentially going from missing half the time in epic content to only hitting on a 20. It may be a fun build to play at low levels but you won't be welcomed in many high-end PUG raids and will definitely be less effective as both a melee and a caster.

Hit points are the other issue. You may find it hard to get above 350 HPs, which is considered the bare minimum for a melee build. Also, try planning your build for level 20 instead of 16.

If you want a caster that melees, make a Warchanter Bard.

If you still think this build is for you, go ahead and make it. I can't stop you.

    ...
With the number of caster levels and the investment in Intelligence, melee should not be your primary focus. Instead, you should focus on casting, and melee when appropriate.
