Lag when accessing social panel

Not sure whether this has been reported, but I have noticed that, when running along without lag, if I open up the Social panel, it will cause my toon to freeze up for a moment or 2.

Can be auto running in a regular old zone, no mobs around ... hit social panel .. dude stops running for a few seconds, starts, stops again.. you get the picture (I hope)

To update, even opening the Social panel for a second, then closing it will cause a hesitation a couple seconds later on the toon

I believe that's because the game no longer checks to see which characters are online at login. If so then it might be polling whenever the social panel is opened.

Check the who tab and uncheck all classes then do a search to empty it. then try popping the social panel on and off to see if that makes a difference.

I'm at work now so I can't check but I will check in about 2 hours to see if this is the case.
