Thanks for the temporary fix mutantbee!

A+ to nutantbee for finding a temporary fix.

D- to Turbine for not having an efficient ticket and tracking system to provide info on bugs, fixes, and progress. It would be an F, but I notice they FINALLY after nearly 6 hours posted a message here. And, as a paying player, I find this rather annoying to say the least. **** happens, but a better communication system for bugs would be a big plus.

Thank you Mutantb, i could log in. I didn't have to delete the whole file... I jsut deleted the lines that pertained to any other server than Thelanis and I had no problem.

I am afraid I don't understand how to do this. I am not a computer literate kind of guy.

As such, I guess this means our relationship is about over.

I am not going to spend a lot of time on this as I feel this is a Turbine problem.

For those that want to just copy and paste the instructions over an over. Forget it. That is like talking real loud to the person next to you because they are blind.

Mirthgar. I want to tell you something that is really intimate.

yeah...I wish I knew what any of that meant.
I guess I will wait until Turbine fixes it or until I take some computer classes....whatever happens first.

Go to your Windows user settings and in one of your folder drop down menus enable your ability to view hidden files or folders. Then follow the path outlined in this post and delete the file labled " launcherusersettings.xml.

If you still can't find the file, simply search for the launcherusersettings (you can just search for launcher and select the right one from the search results) file using your windows search function, including hidden files and folders in your search, and delete it there.

    1. To start first close out of the launcher if its open (right-click the ddo "shield" icon near the Windows "clock")
    2. Now click on the Windows "Start" button and click on "Computer" or "My Computer"
    3. In there double click on your "C:" Drive (Might display as "Local Disk C:")
    4. In there double-click on "Users" if you are on Vista/Windows 7 or "Documents and Settings" if you are on XP.
    5. In there double-click on the folder that is the same name as your XP or Vista/Win7 Username
    6. In there you need to enable hidden files and folders view:
    7. - XP: Click on "Tools" > "Folder Options" > "View" (tab) > click to activate "Show hidden files and folders" in the list
    8. - Vista/7: Click on "Organize" > "Folder and Search Options" > "View" (tab) > click to activate "Show hidden files and folders" in the list
    9. Now once that is done you should see "Local Settings" if you're on XP or "AppData" if you are on Vista/Win7 double click on that
    10. In there you should see either "Application Data" (XP) or "Local" (Vista/7) double-click on that
    11. In there find the folder "Turbine" and double-click on it
    12. In there double-click on the "Dungeons and Dragons Online" folder
    13. Now find "Usersettings.xml" and right-click that and choose "Delete" then relaunch the game

Mirthgar, lad. You came through for me. Many thanks from a frustrated old man. It would have been a long wait for my grandson to drop by to fix it for me. It took more than one try but we are in the game. All thanks to you for taking the time to brake it down into little steps. It was what was needed. Thank you.
