Default My Drow Archer Build... Need Input !

I'm relatively new at DDO, so I need some input. Don't call me a noob or anything or be disrespectful. That happens enough for asking questions in game. Anyways, the goal was to build an archer that could do great damage with ranged weapons and also excell as a rogue. Here's my first build. How does it look?

    I don't like the 8 Str.

    I wouldn't go any higher than 16 Int on a Drow, non-Wizard.
I gave up a life of farming to become an Adventurer.

Thanks. I only put the points in INT for the skill points. Then ended up taking thing I didn't even want, so that seems like a pretty valid point. Also, I looked and there isn't a way to put those tomes on is there?

I believe the char generator lets you add tomes.
    But I sledom use it.

There is a lot more I could add. You don't really need a high Int at all. It's up to you haw many skil syou want to keep maxed. Some Rogue skills can get by with less....like Open Locks for one. Rgrs get six skil points per level.

But if you went with a 14 Int I think you could keep: Hide, MS, Spot, Search, OL, DD, & UMD maxed out. Most people wouldn't even go that far. As they value physical stats more.

Str, Con, and Dex are all important for a combatant.
Wisdom is also needed for rgr spells, but you can use a stat item for that if needed.

Char is the lowest importance for this kind of build. I like Cha on a Rogue, but you need to make some sacrifices to get what it seems you want. So keep it at 10 IMO.

Maybe 14 Str, 12 Con, 16 Dex, 14 or 16 Int depending on if you really want another skill maxed....like Jump. (always put one rank in Tumble though.) And whatever is left in Wisdom. Could also try to get Con up to 14 and sacrifice Wisdom, I think that would be more main-stream advice.
The more I think about it, try to get by with a 14 Int....see if you can get the seven main skills I mentioned aboved , maxed. I think there will still be some skill points left over.

But that's just my opinion, as I like balanced builds.... most people will tell yo to put a lot more into Str and Con. And their advice is not bad advice.

It's a working build. There won't be any +4 tomes right now. I can buy the +2 tomes, but do I have to wait to apply those?

You're really better off with an elf. You get bonuses with Bows and you can max out the Arcane Archer enhancements without 18 levels of Ranger. Something like this should work for a 28 pt build:
    Str 14
    Dex 18
    Con 12
    Int 14
    Wis 8
    Chr 8

Go with a Ranger 12/ Fighter 6/ Rogue 2 split and take all AA enhancements plus Kensai I. You'll still have disabling skills, decent stealth and much better ranged damage than your proposed build.

A lot of your feats are off too. The skill focuses don't help you much and niether does the Shot on the Run chain. You'll definitely want Point Blank Shot, Weapon Focus: Ranged and Mental Toughness for AA and Toughness just because hp are good.

For Favored Enemies the consensus is usually that Undead and Evil Outsider are the 2 best and that Giant, Construct, Elemental, and Abberation are strong too, and probably in that order.

One last note, +4 tomes are increadably rare. For a new player, I would limit myself to no more than +2s for planning purposes.

    Honestly? Terrible.

INT's way too high, STR's way too low. Your feats are a mess. You didn't even take a ranger PrE. You don't need more than 1 or 2 rogue levels. Unless this is a twice-TRed char, you won't have 32 pts to spend on a drow. And even if you did have +4 tomes to all stats, you couldn't take them at level 1.

So let's back up. You say you want an archer with rogue skills? Then I think your best bet is an Arcane Archer who is mostly ranger: something like rogue 1 / ranger 18 with a splash of fighter, monk, or maybe even barbarian or wizard. [Could also do rogue 2 / ranger 18, but I think a splash of something else adds more.]

What do you actually have to work with, in terms of races, classes, build pts, etc.?
