I was looking at a few builds on here, and see quite a few with improved two weapon fighting, specifically the "Hurtlocker" build. 13rogue/6paly/1monk is the extra ab needed for that build(its dual khopesh)? if not what would be a more useful feat?

It will still give you more offhand attacks even after the update tomorrow.
You need it.
With the new update every level of TWF feat gives +20% more to hit with offhand swings.
WITH NO FEATS YOU ONLY HAVE A 20% CHANCE TO HIT WITH OFFHAND ATTACKS.
You're much better off putting those feats off until later after the update when you can get ITWF. This brings your offhand up to 60%.
Look at the table here in the first post to see what everyone is screaming about.

Yes if you are TWF'ing, and you will also want need GTWF... all increase the number of your attacks, and the % of offhand attacks that proc.
(Say): Haywire says, '"Hey, I don't come into yer home and play with things."'
With my human hybrid pure FvS I'm only taking TWF and off handing a seeker sickle of backstabbing. Melee isn't his main goal, instead the off hand has become a stat stick. I minimized dexterity down to the point of 13+2 tome so I could have more build points for constitution and a bit of charisma. Even if I spend all the TWF feat I'd still be missing 20% of the time and as a healing caster I'm only going to be spending just so much time in melee combat anyhow.
I wouldn't ignore the rest of the two weapon fighting chain on just about anything else. But it made sense to me with the tight feat selection of being a caster/melee hybrid.
Ermmmmm
If you take no 2WF feats at all, you will suffer -8 to your attack when dual wielding.
Then if you actually manage to hit with your main hand, you have a 20% chance to hit with your off hand.
Taking 1 2WF feat gives you only -2 to hit (if using a light weapon in the off hand) when dual wielding.
Then if you hit you get 40% chance for your off-hand to hit.
If you're a 'healing caster' just drop the off hand weapon and strap on a shield - you'll hit more often when you do melee, and take less damage when you're hit.
You don't have to hit with your main hand to be able to hit with your off hand.
Combat goes:
1d20 to hit with main hand
If any doublestrike bonus roll to proc, if proc new roll and add main hand damage again
1d100 to hit with offhand
If confirm 1d20 to hit with offhand.
So I am sure this is off, but as I understand it, no feats=20% to hit with off hand, does this mean once you proc(not even sure what this stands for, but once your roll the needed percentage) you hit with your off hand or you get to roll a to hit with your off hand? much like fighting ghost or wraiths(instead of 50% to not even roll attack you get an 80% chance to not even roll an attack) prior to U5, one the toons I played was a capped paly rogue who dual wielded khopesh, and he would hit most mobs almost all of the time with only twf, hence the reason for og question being unaware of u5 tweaking(some call it nerfing many twf builds), I was of the opinion with good gear and buffs your ab was high enough that even the -8 to ab it didnt really effect things at end game. Now more or less the question is all things being = is it even worth it to build a twf if tr ing. Also I have not seen any post by turbine saying sorry to all the people that have taken the time to build a tempest ranger or any twf toon so we are offering a free respec due to us forcing a rule change that may have led to "Had I known I would of went another direction with my toon" but on side note they have brought back for a short time, for a "price" the +5 greater reincarnation..hmmmm coincidence, or shady....err I mean GOOD business plan
im working on a build right now. ITWF and GTWF are great. if you take OTW and kensai slashing you should do really good. but i wouldnt take ITWF unless i was taking tempest or kensai

Improved two weapon fighting, Do you really need it?
Yes.
IF you want to be a melee and wield two weapons, and dont have GTWF you are a crippled weakling. Dont fail at DPS so you can take Skill Focus Basketweaving.
