I've been wanting to start this for a long time, but now that griefing has
been elevated to a high artform, it's time for a little friendly competition.
Rules:
1. Your goal is to fail a raid, or an epic quest.
2. You may not fail it by failing to heal.
a. Winning is not failing to act, it's acting to fail. I.E. Simply not healing is illegal.
3. You may not win by hiding an object. I.E. you cannot win by destroying the blood
offering.
4. At the end of July, the tally will be added. Claims of a win are to be reported here.
5. This is an inter-guild Doush-off. Points are scored for a guild kill.
6. There are no defensive points, only offensive. If your guild put the lfm up, it's fair
game.
7. Only guilds that list themselves in this thread are fair game.
8. Guilds that list themselves in this thread may opt out of any quest by simply putting
"Doush-free" in the lfm.
9. Buy in is 20 mana pots.
ill be the first to say BoSS is fair game
Wanted to add and remove a few things.
After discussion with a few willing participants, I've made a few changes, namely the setup.
Participating events with now be offensive and defensive, in a scheduled fashion. 10 pots from
off. and 10 pots from def. FROM EACH RUN will be the stakes. Offense will consist of 4 players
from Offensive guild, I.E. the Doushes, and 8 from the defensive. Goal will be to fail the raid, or
complete while being the only the ones left alive.
Now for discussions of style. You cannot win by say dc'ing and causing lag heals and so forth.
Acceptable style is using any of your spells and abilities to prevent action from the offense,
killing the offense, or controlling the agro. I.E. If you are in TOD, you have to heal the tank
per usual, unless that tank is on offense with you. In titan for instance, you may not knock
pillars down willy nilly, but you may grease the bottom man, or dance the bottom man, or dance
the gunner, or agro the titan, or kite mobs, etc.
In any situation you must Act to fail, not fail to act. This is the primary rule.
Keep in mind of course, if you are on defense, you better f'ing bring your own healer, locksmith,
tank, and caster. I think the most difficult and intense competion would come from quests like
Hound, Vision, Shroud, while quests like TOD would simply prove tedious.
More thoughts more then welcome, this is basically the early stages of what could be a really
fun Inter-Guild competition.
