Default Your favorite quests and why (non xp/loot standpoint)

I personally enjoy Invaders, Coal Chamber, and the Threnal Ruins Series the most.

I like the Atraxia's Haven quests, as well as Relic of a Sovereign Past (we need more duregar to kill I think)

They all seem to have some challenges and are fun to play both solo and in a group.

Yes protecting Coyle is a pain, but its a challenge, so it makes things more enjoyable.

Wiz King, Shadow Crypt, Deleras, and Gianthold are great also, but after repeating so many times, burnout sets in.

Like I said, its not about xp/min or loot, just the enjoyment that you get out of the quest and why.

    Thanks!

I am a big fan of Gianthold, but I have not yet begun my first TR so no burn out.

I like Enemy Within, incase you didnt guess I play Arcanes..
I enjoy Rainbow in the Dark, something about the varied mobs, the Flesh to Stone, the Pillar jump just keeps me entertained.

Most IQ stuff as its quick a light, and my fave of all is that Solo Quest in Dreaming Dark, its just fun to run up the walls.

Not sure if it counts, but Vale Slayers where \ are a blast to with all the rare's and variety.

I agree. I like seeing mindflayers. Rainbow in the Dark is just unique, and (in my mind at least) encourages tactics beyond zerg and burn. I got pretty burnt out running IQ stuff when it first came out, as I was ransacking it every week on a sorcerer.

Slayers can be fun too. Although I haven't done really any SRE for a while.

    I like the Wiz-King.

    Delera's chain.

Sin's of Attrition. Mainly because its a "choose your own adventure".

I like getting to VoD and doing VoD. Main reason I like getting to VoD is...I like to make bets on who will die in the actual raid based off of their Sub performance. It is almost like picking a winner in a horse race. For example...
2 to 1 on that obviously low HP Rog dieing within 30 seconds of the Orthon's popping.
4 to 1 the Wizard will not have SP for the last wave of bats (this is shown by the guy who CoC EVERY mob otw to quest)
2 to 1 that Random Melee will not have Curse pots because they stayed at 15% HP otw to quest the whole run lol (aka no self-healing=no curse pots also)
It is like a mini-game to me.

I always liked "Information is Key" when I am on a toon that can charm. I always felt super sneaky when doing that quest

I actually like ADQ and DQ. The loot is nice...but I just like ADQ for the "riddle" and different rooms. And DQ raid because I like fighting Mariliths.

I like Prisoner of the Planes for the different rooms.

Xorian Cipher, the orbs make it so chaotic, it's never a dull run!

Delerium, again, the chaotic atmosphere. Plus outdrinking beholders, and the clambies and hambies! Just a fun quest!

    Delerium: for its pure nuttiness

I dream of jeets: Jeet's mind.. drink! girls! money! being a hero! BACON!

the dreaming dark: the encounter with the council

tear of dhakan: just really enjoy for some reason

spies in the house: ok the quest itself is anoying, but the 2 gargoyles at the end are funny
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

    Hands down, Delirium.

You get beholders drinkin' rum, kitchen keys lookin' at ya funny, puzzle tiles flyin' about the air. What more could you ask for? I wish that DDO had an 'Insanity Mode' so that I could play the game insane...

Edit: I forgot 'Prove your worth' and just remembered as I read the post below. Yes, it's also a favourite because it really tests a player's skill in the game (to a certain degree). I made a post regarding this about having more quests that require you to do more than hack and slash such as The Pit, Spies in the House, etc.

prove your worth: the name is program here. i'v seen so many people fail the ladder climbing, especially without featherfall, you really have to prove your worth here.
And then the puzzle that seemingly nobody understands. No matter how often and how long i try to explain how it works to people (not the solution, the actual concept/mechanics) they never seem to get it. it really is a unique puzzle.
on top of that i must always think about something that happened to me once: i had a lfm up for it and the group was almost full. a guy joined and asked "what quest?" well, it was selected in the lfm so he could just have read it but i replied nontheless "prove your worth first". he immediately left the group after this i sent him a tell that the quest is called "prove your worth" and he joined again
edit: forgot the "what would a real pirate do" test at the end. (Bluff) Arrrrr!

rainbow in the dark: it's dark, it's unique, i just like it

delirium: it's just plain crazy and contains my favorite DM line "You don't like how the key is looking at you. You think it needs a beating" (or something similiar)

Haven't gotten around to running Delerium yet, although with all of the good feedback, I think I will just have to give it a try soon!

Prison of the Mind - Really fun quest, especially on epic. So many ways to fight the enemies in this quest. Really rewards players that learn to use the terrain to their advantage and use strategy. I'm always finding new perches to firewall from.

I dream of Jeets - Fun quest, lots of cool hidden areas and treasure

Delirium - Most unique quest in the game. Funny stuff, Really want more Xoriat quests.

Stormcleave outpost - Huge outdoor map. Lots of objectives, great boss fight. Feels like a six man raid.

Tempest Spine - Fun low level raid. Tons of bosses. Love storming the enemy stronghold feel of the quest. Really wish there were more raids were like this and less enter room attack boss.

Mired in Kobolds - Fighting a dragon outside, finally. Great surprise boss first time playing it. Love launching poor kobolds into the air that get too close to the exploding crystals.

I know most people hate it, but my favorite quest in the game so far (my highest level character is 15), is the Pit. I just love it. Some kind of puzzle or climbing/platforming in every single room. My kind of gameplay. I even love how if you're crafty enough, you can get by the third furnace room and solo the quest. Oh so fun .

    Agree! Love charm in there!

I'm a big Tempest Spine fanatic. People can (and do) fail that raid - it's a good challenge for an inexperienced group at level.

I also love the Delera's chain...just wish part 1 was a bit tougher on its level since people often have to run it for no experience if they're doing a group at a bit higher level.

I also really like Kobold Assault but that might just be because my 6-year-old loves it.

My son howled the first time he saw me blow kobolds sky high. This made it a favorite for me.

and... uhh Inferno of the damned.
and... Crucible (depending on the group...)

    EDIT: Yes, the pit too!

I know I am a bit masochistic to admit this, but I really do love the Shroud. The lag I can do without, but the actual parts are still fun for me.

Personally, I love the Sharn Syndicate chain. It feels like your playing a D&D version of the show “Burn Notice”.

For all of it’s flaws I think Stormcleave Outpost is the quest that will forever be “the quest” associated with DDO.

Delirium is a blast… just because of the drinking game and the altered perceptions.

I really, really, want to add in the Reavers Refuge quests to my list of faves (I love the designs and storylines.) but too many “cheese” effects keep it from being included.
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

I really like the storyline and flow of the Vale of Twilight, and like the quests alot. The Shroud would be more enjoyable to me if there was less lag, and fewer elitists--I don't Shroud that often. (Not much of a raider in general)

Favorites are Delirium and Mired in Kobolds, hands down!

Gotta love tryin to drink a beholder under the table and defending the cook from Hambies and Clambies! Oh, and I LOVE kobolds and Dragons...quests with both of them just simply kick @$$, and anytime ye can beatdown a youngun dragon, then have their mommy show up is just fun! Oh, and I always have a good time in the Shroud...good mix of bosses, half-bosses, and puzzles.

Many other quests are fun, like Gwylan's Stand, Delera's, and even lowbie quests like the last one in the STK series, but the ones above are the absolute best!

Oh, and don't let me forget to give a shout out to Irestone Inlet...simple quest, but the first time I ran that one, it was my barb, my wife's cleric, and a friend's ranger/rogue, and we were all lv3...it was awesome slowly sneaking about and planning out each move as we went...that one quest kept me interested in DDO through the years. Simple, but exactly the kind of atmosphere I was lookin for...
