    Shadow mages. Granted, it's a niche use, but it's one of the things which make shadow mages such a fun to play.

    There are a few threads about this style of play and quite a few YouTube videos/tutorials. Enlarge allows arcanes to be more of a ninja than rogue or monk ever will.

    It is a very good tactical feat. It can allow you to web or mass hold before anyone else disperses the enemy cluster.

    Like someone else said as well, drop your damage spell and inivis before they take the hits.

    A must have for any soloing I think.

    Enlarge imo, should enlarge a spell....like the blast radius of fireball, acid ball, web, dancing sphere, coc, prismatic spray etc etc should be made wider by this feat. Sort of a waste as is imo, my 2 cents.

    Interesting replies. I can see some uses for solo play, but I don't solo much after 5th level so I guess I never thought about such advantages. It seems it would come into use a bit more in group play if the group knew your tactics, but that's hard to do in a PUG.

    People say that a lot of tactics cannot be used in group play without coopperation.

    I don't find that to be entirely true.

    Sometimes it means I have to zerge faster than the rest of thegroup to pul off my tactics, but there are ways to do things without the group cooperating.

    One place I kinda like to show off Enlarge is in Tangle Root. When you start going into the second dungeon instance. After you get the paper items, and then have to loot the gate key to continue into the second instance.

    The group always waits to buff, just as they zone into the second part. But there are a whole lot of Hobgoblins up ahead near the bridge.

    I like to cast an Enlarged Charm Person on one of them while still standing with the rest of the group.
    Gets all those hidden Hobgoblins and the casters across the bridge, agroed on their own guy and not the party...

    But mostly it just surprises people that I can cast from that far away.
    I gave up a life of farming to become an Adventurer.

    Enlarge isn't just for stealth... having enlarge means my chain missile SLA hits the enemy group before the pug gets there so my wiz can agro tank.
