The story
Last night my guild and I decided to do an elite Shroud for xp and favor. We filled about 70 percent with guildies and pugged out the rest of the spots with some very decent players. NP there. We moulinexed through the first three chapters. Easy Breezy. Than we come to Chapter four. First round goes off without a hitch. We get him down to about 50 percent. We rebuff up between rounds, clear the trash, and go in for round two. We immediately notice Harry's glitched and no one's taking damage from him. Fear grips all our hearts cause we know whats happening. All three healers and the bard begin to spam heals knowing what coming. It didn't help. One second everyone is alive, the next second everyone near Harry is dead, even though it shows everyone up and still fighting, it shows up in party chat that they were killed. Party wipe. All of us are ****ed, we go back in on normal for a speed run to make us all feel better.

This is getting tiresome. Everyone who runs the Shroud has a story like this. Its very sad that the most challenging thing in this quest now is the dreaded Lag Monster. This is a two and half year problem that hasn't been resolved, no matter what witch doctor methods the gurus at DDO Dev have thrown at it, and still will not be resolved by the changes U5 will bring in. We have all wasted large amounts of time and resources to be continually slapped around by lag and the bottom line is ITS ALL DDO's FAULT!

Solution
As much as I hate pushing the easy button on quests, I hate wasting my time on failed quests because of lag more.
Since most of the failures due to lag happen in part 4, I suggest a compromise until DDO has fixed the lag. Remove the penalty box in part 4 and allow people to be raised. Again, I'll reiterate the statement "until DDO has fixed the lag". This will allow us too at least attempt a recovery when the Lag Monster strikes.
I think this is a fair compromise that would be simple to implement and would make the Lag a bit easier to swallow.
Thanks
