What anime are you watching?

For me, exams have ended today so being tired and all, I obviously? started watching some anime.

This made me curious. What series or movies have you watching recently and what's your opinion on them?

Answering my own question:

FLCL: anyone who loves anime and hasn't seen this one yet should do so asap. This is one of the (if not the) best anime's out there. Only 6 episodes but so awesome it's gonna splat your brain.

Nausicaä of the valley of the wind: Studio Ghibli, one of their early movies. This one's quite obvious...Studio Ghibli!

Voices of a distant star: A short movie (think it's only 30 mins) touching the deepest of your soul.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood: Personally I find this one better than the original FMA. Top serie.

actually i never liked anime, until i found

COWBOY BEBOP
and
SAMURAI CHAMPLOO

both created and directed by Shinichirō Watanabe

for me he is the Quentin Tarantino of anime.
After wathing those i never bothered with other anime stuff.

I am pretty anime-casual, there's a ton I haven't seen. My personal favorites are Ghost in the Shell, Serial Experiments Lain, Ergo Proxy, Cowboy Bebop, Blood: The Last Vampire and Kino's Journey.

What did you think of S7? The artwork I've always liked, but I have never been certain if it was worth watching or not.

As for voltron, are you talking Voltron or Go Lion?

Voltron. The original bad dubbed show. My childhood revolved around it...

It was pretty good. THe animation is, quite frankly, stunning. Not Studio Ghibli Stunning but stunning.

If you have not watched it, you should watch 5cm per second by the same guy. Same feel, but over an hour long.

You have very good tastes.

If you liked Bakemonogatari and Kanon 2006, you would probably love ef- A Tale of Memories and the sequel ef - A Tale of Melodies. I didn't cry during Kanon, but these two get me crying each time I see them, and I think I have seen them over eight times by now. It is done by the same director than for Bakemonogatari so it's pure art, too.

I didn't know we were bragging about series we'd already completed watching. . . That would change the game significantly.

I liked Code Geass:R2 better than the first.

I own the Seven Samurai live action. . . (I've seen all the other movies of his too but 7 samurai was my favorite. . . whattdya gonna do bein a Gaijin?)

FLCL was a great one between all the blood and gore of the rest of it (ElfenLied was soooooooooooooo bloody).

GOD I HATE AMERICANIZED ANIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It just sucks so bad compared to what they really are saying!
