    Default Suggestion: Warforged improvements

I noticed when I tried to make a warforged Monk that you could still buy the Mithril/Adamant skin options...but these count as armor and make you basically a non-monk.

There should either be a way to "buy off" the "counts as armor" part of these feats later (via additional feats that do nothing else, for example) or a warning "Purchasing this feat will prevent most of your Monk abilties from functioning" I haven't made a Warforged mage or other caster yet, but I'm assuming these feats will also mess up those classes...

Also, how about making "female" warforged have a more lithe, femininine looking "Chasis" - Slender waist, less bulky arms and legs, and a "front porch" will make the female sounds the character makes a bit less silly.

Yeah, the warforged females don't look any different right now. There is no point in even changing your gender.

Also, that warning would be nice for new players that wouldn't know that getting those feats would make them un-centered.

While we are at it, they need to add a warning to all feats that you will get by leveling up saying that you will get them by leveling up. I deleted the first ranger I made because it didn't tell me that I would get rapid shot at level 2.

Well in the class description it states which abilities will not work with armor (most) and the feats you mentioned descritions include what type of armor they are treated as. Putting the two together should be enough to say hey, wait this might be a bad idea. You can not use evasion in medium or heavy armor, so using the body feats will prevent that skill. The body feats have arcane spell failure in the descritions so it should come as no suprise when an arcane spell caster fails a spell check. I understand it takes some reading and planning when creating a character but that is what DnD is all about. So much of the feel of DnD has already been taking out of the game, lets not make character creation dummy proof.

I don't think everyone pays attention to the information on the side, but if they do then yes it is obvious. I know from personal experience that a lot of other MMOs give you useless/obvious information in the class info. areas. Like when I roll a druid on WoW, I think I would know that they can heal. Thanks for stating the obvious.

Sorry, female warforged looking like females is strictly prohibited. Don't you know if you mix something even remotely robot-like human, female, and fighting together, you get some unwanted results... like otaku fans.

Leave female warforged as is. We don't need these running around in the D&D World!

Now that you put it this way, maybe we can make a couple of changes to WF females

I don't think that a WF Monk should ever be able to "work off" the body feats. They count as armor because they are armor. No other race can armor their Monk, so I think that a WF being able to would be unbalancing.

A WF caster can reduce their Spell Failure, however, with the Inscribed Armor enhancements. This mirrors the Elven Arcane Fluidity line of enhancements - so at least WF don't have an advantage over every other race. In fact, a WF has to take the first level of Inscribed Armor in order to totally negate any chance of Spell Fail. Composite body still counts as armor for arcane spells, and has a spell faill chance until the enhancement is taken. So, in that regard, WF are down one enhancement over other races (but worth it, imho).

Lastly, both Adamantine Body and Mithral Body clearly state that they are counted as armor - so the fact that they negate Monk abilities that don't work while armored should be pretty clear.

As for WF getting a female body template... there is not supposed to be a visual difference, as WF themselves are inherently sexless. They make a choice dependent on their personality to be labeled and treated as "male" or "female".
But... I think that a different body type for the genders would still be a good idea, game-lore or no. Many aspects of PnP have been changed for the sake of the game - I'd have no problem with that being one of em.

They were made as tools of war. Personality was of minimal concern.

Again, not everyone is going to read the side information because it is useless in many MMOs.

I would but you probably would not want to read the information

If they can't be bothered to read the information that is already presented - then I can't be bothered to have sympathy for them.

The information is there already... and I think that players should be more proactive and not expect to be mollycoddled at every turn and have the game spoon feed them everything.

Fair enough. I'm just explaining why a lot of people ignore the side information.

You have to have SOMEWHERE to plug in the extension cords...Who says the Wizards who built the Warforged don't sometimes like the "female look" better? Maybe some of themselves fancy themselves artists and they think of the warforged's "look" as a work of art.

I know this was written as a joke... But that really makes sense.
