Petition for Customizable Wearables

This is a member petition to get DDO to implement customizable clothing and armors to change the way they look.
Regardless of how it is implemented, it is sorely needed.

Good thread discussing why here.

If you agree DDO needs customizable gear, simply reply with "/signed".

The aim is to keep this thread tidy for easy tallying of the votes otherwise we end up with pointless rants that take up bandwidth for no reason and are totally unrelated to the point of this thread.

i think armour should be colour customisable and skin to be taken from another garment of your choosing.

In this way its nice to be able to have unique looks (from annual festivities etc) to be used on daily hunting wear.

I'm also up for a totally customisable option, where you can make anything and everything, and can buy new tailor recipes or find them in dungeons, that would be awesome also.

Maybe for the future, you can find new pet/druid forms skins to alter their behavior/looks.

Can you imagine turning your skeletal mage into a smexy undead witch or succubus!

I managed to completly miss this Clause on first reading of this thread. I completely disaprove of it im afraid. Every discussion must be open to opposing views, and they must be presented alongside the views for, otherwise the debate becomes meaningless and biased.

Sorry Sultanica, I will not /Sign a Thread that attempts to censor opposing views and am consequently removing my /sign from this petition and removing the +1 Rep I gave you. Sorry about that.

In future, you should welcome both /signs and /unsigns in your petitions.

There is no TRUE Free Speach on the Forums. See if you can find a list of all the people that have been banned becauase of things they said. There are a set of rules (The TOS), and as long as you follow those rules, you can say whatever you wish. That is not Free Speech. Free Speech places no limitations or rules.

Edit...oh yeah, and it takes more than Free Speech to make a Democracy

The Terms of Service are there to prevent inflammatory and negative behaviour on the forums. They are there to stop people from insulting one another and de-railing Threads. To ensure that people who post on this forum act with common courtesy and respect for their fellow citizens.

I am sure that the people who have been banned have been banned for good reasons. I.E. Swearing at other people, or expressing views that either offensive, irrelevant, or completely unreasonable.

It is taken for granted that openly expressing aggression or lieing is unacceptable, and is thus not allowed. This is for the purpose of maintaing Peace among people. The same as in real world society.

There IS Free Speech within reason.

True Free Speech does not mean having the right to "Say Anything". It means having the right to express your views openly without fear of reprisal or censorship - AS LONG as those views do not hurt or intentionally offend anyone.

Saying that True Free Speech does not exist because you are not allowed to "Say Anything" is like saying "I am not free because I am not allowed to rob the grocery store." That I am afraid is nonsense...
