One of the main reasons why diluting your cleric is a bad idea - having any chance of failure when you need a heal is never desireable, and you hit level 11 as a cleric faster if you're not splashing anything (obviously).

Honestly, my first 3 levels were Rogue > Monk > Monk. I didn't get heal until level 14. For those three levels it was tough, but it was a breeze after that. Of course, that's where the two levels of monk come in handy, the extra feats allowed me to get stunning blow and improved trip. Both are very affective against the enemy caster/cleric which is almost ALWAYS the #1 cause of party damage. If you can mitigate damage, you have less heals to worry about.

One advantage to a cleric/rogue, when you are not in a static group, is that you can log on, throw up an lfm, and just take the first 5 people to respond. You've got traps, buffing, and healing covered. Any other combination of 5 people will work.

This is actually not far from the truth. Of course, it takes a skilled player to play several roles efficiently at once. There were some cases were I was the primary DPS and some cases where I ended up being the tank (hello, Mired in Kobold dragon, never wanna tank you again). If played right, a Cleric/Monk/Rogue build can fully support party, excellent or gimped, to success.
