    Default Simple idea! A book.

I know this won't be at the top of any list right now but when I played Ultima they had books you could write in. Keep notes about anything, diaries for the character, notes about locations/ dungeons/ areas, people even wrote novels and sold them to other players.

I saw a book in the AH for sale it claimed it was notes on Delera's tomb. I did not buy it and I have not seen anyplace to buy a book.

Any thoughts on books for DDO?

I think that was someone trying to make a quick buck. The item you're referring to comes from the quest and once U5 is live, it will drop (as it should) from your inventory once you complete the quest.

I know I could have a pen and notebook on my desk and get the job done but having an ingame book and be able to type in it would allow others in the game to also read the contents and may actually save time over checking out the forum from within the game.

Also the forum gets edited from time to time and posts that had recipes for items dissappears for some reason.

A character in game that has a book full of recipes on how to upgrade items at the stone of change as an example should be something we see in game and a person alot of us would search for to help us on that subject or we could buy a copy of the book from them.

A simple item like a book could be used in many ways.

Look at what we have done with books in the real world. Be it good or bad that is.

I like this idea, not sure about anyone else but I think this would be a small addition to Role Players who would want a character to write in a Journal of the days adventures, or power-players who might want to write down notes for an item that they want to craft in the shroud. I don't know how many people I've found that have the alchemical crafting written in their signatures (too many to count) but this would be a great thing to write those kind of things in.

Another thing that this would help is if someone is playing more then a single wizard remembering who has what spells memorized and what they need still.
A necromancer from before Pale Master came out.
Argonesson: Nexal / Dolgos / Golgos / Earie / Nexas
Threads: Halfling PrE, Master Thrower / New set of spells: Illusion
